Why all of a sudden should they have to do something that has never been done before, without any factual reason to do so?

I would understand the concern if:

1) Manny Pacquiao hadn't passed ever single drug test he's taken

2) The NSAC's drug testing has been in question


But the basis of the argument was on an assumption, that a fighter could not possibly be performing the way that he has per Floyd Mayweather Sr.

i have no problem with Pacquiao's history of testing. But the NSAC drug testing is a joke. Its too easy to cheat. This should be the fight that changes tasting in boxing, and the accuse of its never been done before is a weak argument.

The same substances that got passed the NSAC were also the same ones that Marion Jones used to win her Gold Medal in the Olympics.


The fact of the matter is that neither style of testing is full proof, and the only one that is required is the one by the commission who is sanctioning the fight.

Team Pacquiao didn't flat out say 'NO' to the testing. But did you really expect them to just bend over to Floyd's demands and give up that mental edge. Its all a part of the negotiations, and I think it has less to do with the actual testing, than it does posturing.

Pacquiao is at no disadvantage....Mayweather will be taking the same tests...i dont see the issue here....what seems more ridiculous.....mayweather asking for extra drug tests or pacquiao demanding 10 million per pound over 147??? and the funy thing is,Mayweather agreed to pacquiao's demands...HAHHHA...pacquiao is the one holding this fight up, now that is funny
