If the Pac vs Floyd does not take place does it hurt Pac's status?

He's never had to take a blood test for PEDs, that's the issue. When he submitted blood to get a license, they were testing for blood-borne diseases, not steroids or HGH.
On the flip side, Floyd has now put himself in the position where he has to demand this for every fight he has from here on out. If he demands this from Pacquiao, but doesn't do this for Matthew Hatton, it will look like he was looking for a way out of fighting Pacquiao.Comment

Pacquiao has passed all the drug tests. Now, if there was any evidence or any hint (besides doing a superb job in the ring) that Pacquiao was taking illegal supplements, then I could understand and condone the Mayweather camp asking for a additional testing.
But there hasn't been any evidence or proof that shows Pacquiao is taking illegal supplements, and by judging from where camp Mayweather is getting their info (Floyd Senior, who's fighter lost badly to Pacquiao) there isn't any veracity to their claims.
If camp Mayweather can't let this go, this one is on Floyd. He's already been portrayed as the bad guy many times in the media, and he's choice in opponents has been brought into question several times. Its a lot easier to hang this around Mayweather's neck (an all around ******* in the media's eyes), than the humble people's champion, Pacquiao. Mayweather simply has more to prove and more to lose.Comment

Do you honestly feel that you are an advocate or represent the "casual fan" especially after that conclusion you just drew?Pacquiao has passed all the drug tests. Put it this way, if Peyton Manning refused to play in the Super Bowl just because Sean Payton and Drew Brees wanted blood testing to be mandatory for the playoffs, wouldn't that look really su****ious?
This is the boxing equivalent.Comment

Its not the equivalent and it is not the casual fans thinking.
Manning will not be getting punched in the face by Brees or Payton.
Also Negotiations are not done before each super bowl.
Plus Brees and Payton didn't just make a bunch of demands on their previous game and are getting a taste of what they dished out.Comment

The casual fans, the public for that matter believes what the media will tell them for the most part, you said it earlier that the public will not research or look below the surface. Where does the majority of the public get their facts? The media. Now, who's easier to place the blame on? Who is easier to paint the bad guy? Who's choice in opponents are put under question? Who couldn't wait a single day for the outcome of the Pac-Hatton fight to make this fight?
And as for representing a casual fan, the same question can be posed to you. What makes your views representative of the general populace? Simply because you posted first? I harbor no illusions that I my personal opinion represents the majority of casual fans. I mere pose a theory of how this fight will spell out for both fighters (if it doesn't happen, which I sincerely hope it does).Comment
