If the Pac vs Floyd does not take place does it hurt Pac's status?

I mean considering the fact that Floyd accepted the ridiculous 10 Million dollar weight demand.
Will the casual fan hear on the news, "the fight did not take place because Pac will not give blood", What will the casual fan think? I mean they are the majority. What will people say or think? and does Floyd escape the wrath of the fans ? will they say his demands are just too much?

absolutly it will hurt Manny. It is obvious that Mayweather wants this fight, and if it does not take place it will be on Manny.

I think it hurts both fighters reputations...

Status? as in Pound for Pound? I don't think so...

Both guys are HOF locks but if a fight this big doesn't get made, it'll hurt both guys legacies...

I doubt if the casual fan will think that.

Although he(Floyd) has agreed to everything asked from Pacquiao, this will all somehow be his fault.
