Whitaker was a defensive fighter just like Floyd with much less pop. No matter how good all comers were they had to adjust to Pernell. Styles make fights and it might be a slower fight that some ppl might expect. Manny does have speed and is explosive enough to hurt Floyd early and change the direction of the fight.

This is a fight that Manny is going in with no advantages, he does have problems with counterpunchers and he is facing the best one that is also bigger than him. Floyd struggled early with Zab which would be similar to Pac would bring in an offensive march but Pac has more endurance and doesn't lose concentration. But I heavily doubt Pac is gonna have a big output of punches. 50/50 fight

exactley pac doesnt have a high workrate he averages 70 punches per round, his accurracy drops with counterpunching rt hander such as jmm,morales mayweather is exactley that only 20 times faster, foot and handspeed with a reach advantage and economical because he connects so damn much he doesnt need to miss a million punches like pac does.cotto fight proved only 2 things one pacman is still susceptible to rt handed stance with a good jab,boxing as evidenced in rnd one. and 2 pac can take a full welter punch.pac will most likely lose by decision will just get picked apart

I think Mayweather will win by decision, simply because he is so defensive minded and closes up shop and that limits opportunities... but it will still be fun to watch.

I think what is underestimated in regards to Pac seems to be that he is an improved fighter in the last year or so, especially in regards to his footwork. He throws punches from angles that most fighters aren't naturally able to do. He also has intangibles that separate him from other fighters who are as naturally talented, he is a competitive S.O.B, when he is hit he claps his gloves together and seems to welcome walking into the fire, most fighters natural instincts are once they caught up in a firefight, they don't like that environment and mentally lose focus, that characteristic alone separates good fighters from great ones.

I don't think Mayweather will frustrate Pac or run him out of the building. Bringing in top notch sparring like a Tim Bradley will help Pac's preparation immensely.

What does being the overwhelming favourite have to do with it? Mayweather's the overwhelming favourite in all of his fights. Just as Pac has become recently. It means your damn good.

I wouldnt be surprised if Mayweather is the favorite to win. You are correct we both were wrong when picking Cotto. More so myself because I pretty much said it would be easy. But that was basing on different factors. Mayweatghers style is something compleyetly different than that of Cotto. I assumed Cotto was too big and strong and that if they DID get into a brawl power would be in favor of Cotto.

Picking Mayweather is all based on skill and ring smarts. Pac is great but not Mayweather great. Pac's style is perfect for Mayweather. Cotto's style was perfect for the fans. He stands there toe to toe, which makes it exciting.

Im not saying either guy wins easy but I am saying the more Pac throws the better it is for a technical boxer like Mayweather. The less Pac throws just makes its an easier night for Mayweather. The only problem Mayweather will have will be the southpaw power. Speed and agression wont be especially if he cant hit or hurt Mayweather from the start. Mayweather turns this into a boxing clinic which will be borning to a casual or MMA fan.

Most people posting stuff on BoxingScene conveniently forgot about the article posted about Roach's statements about Manny and the steroids issue.

First, Ariza says that Manny doesn't know what he is taking. WTF

Then Roach says he will not allow anyone to take blood from Manny six weeks prior to the fight because it will affect him mentally. WTF

No one EVER gave an intelligent response to both of those comments. And I'm POSITIVE that no one will come up with a reasonable response to these ****** ASS comments made by Ariza and Roach.

Even the casual boxing fan who has NO BAIS to either fighter will think something is fishy if they hear comments like that.

But Pac fans fall apart and go into convulsions in defending Ariza's and Roach's comments by disrespecting everyone who brings the comments up.

Hey Pac fans, it's not us that made those ******ed comments, it's your boys camp that are putting it out. Let go of Pac's **** for at least 5 seconds and post something intelligent about your people's comments.

The bottom line is this. The steroids issue with Manny mortifies his fans to the point where they don't even want to talk about it.

Filipinos aren't ****** either. They also know that anything is possible. If you totally dismiss the idea that Manny is using some performance enhancing substances then you should seriously be slapped several times.

There are people who say that there is no way possible that Manny is taking any PED's. If you are one of those people then please check into the closest psychiatric hospital you can find because you're being too ***in naïve.
