For the record, MARTINEZ is the one who starting shooting his mouth off, calling Vanes a ***** and a few other disrespectful things. Vanes simply responded in kind.
As Vanes said, "he was mean to me, I had to be a man and stand up for myself." So dont make it out like Vanes started the beef, cause he didnt.

All Vanes did was respond back to that foul mouth. Vanes did not even mention Sergio's name when he called out everyone out of respect. But when Sergio responded so desperately, Vanes stood up for himself and responded back.

Its kind of sad that Sergio coming out and challenging a 23 year old who only has 26 fights. When Sergio was 23 and had only 26 fights he was fighting in the back alleys of Argentina being judged and refereed by local bums. Now that he has his WBC title at over 40 fights he wants to challenge someone who has accomplished more than he did when he had as many fights!!!

Sergio doesnt need to worry, Vanes will eventually take that belt and I know Vanes will not back down from any challenge. The time will come when these two will meet and Vanes will take the belt home, believe me!!!

I saw Vanes fight for the first time on Sat night and I was pretty impressed. I don't know if he would beat Martinez (I think it would be unlikely) but I think he would be competitive for a while. I think that Martinez has too much experience and will win a decision and maybe drop Vanes once. Martinez has some pop and I have not seen enough of Vanes to say anything else about him.

People think that just because he is with Freddy he is the best. Same thing with Amir khan. fredy helps being in there corner but he can't go in and win the fights for them. He has looked good caz he has fought only bums and The other dude must be his boyfriend or sumtin nuthugging him like he is the best boxer out there. But it would be a good fight maybe competive but in the end Martinez is to much for him. But make the fight happen it will be a good one but I bet arum and Freddy will not let him near martinez

I don't understand why Angulo hasn't called out Sergio Martinez, but these greener prospects like Chavez Jr. and Vanes have. Makes Angulo look bad in my opinion.

Martinez is the fucn man! Its been a fuct up year for him he would kill both those lames Chavez/Vanes. I hope he doesn't take this fight I want him to school Williams AGAIN. So many unemployed people in the US and these judges and refs get paid for their Pathetic actions( which many of us know its not that hard to score a fight ). Sergio in 2010 you'll shine if we see a Martinez/Williams 2 imagine what a full training camp would do for Martinez especially knowing he can handle Williams work rate and everything he has at that.
