    British boxer of the year..

It’s been a great year for British boxing, with many candidates.

Amir Khan captured a world title and beat a ring legend along the way

Carl Froch defended his WBC belt twice against great opposition, home and abroad

David Haye became the first British Heavyweight world champion since Lennox Lewis

Darren Barker overcame the tragic loss of his brother 3 years ago to come back and claim the British middleweight title in dominant fashion

Ryan Rhodes put on the display of his life in argualbly the domestic FOTY to capture the British junior middleweight title almost 13 years after busting onto the scene

Kell Brook continues to make a splash in the WW division, and of course, remains unbeaten and remains one of the most exciting new boxers in Great Britain

Nathan Cleaverly dominating the domestic LHW division, along with dedicated studies in mathematics. A worlds title must be on the cards for 2010

Kevin Mitchell stakes his claim to a world title shot by impressively beating Amir Khan’s conqueror, Breidis Prescott.

John Murray, despite kicking things off by not making the lightweight limit against Scott Lawton, impresses with a dominant victory against old stalwart Jon Thaxton, sending him into retirement.

Rendall Munroe continues to fly the flag for all British dustbin men by successfully defending his European belt against Simone Maludrottu

    + many, many more.

But who is your pick, and why??

Carl Froch. Even though the Dirrell win is debatable, his wins still mean more than Khan's.

Khan never beat a legend, he beat a one eyed guy.

He beat 3 decent British fighters in nice style, and next year will step upto world level. America will love him.

              Ryan Rhodes or David Haye.

Haye wins the world heavyweight title against someone almost twice his size and rhodes gives the perormance of his career and stops jamie moore.

                    Carl Froch.

He fought twice this year to Davids one, and his 12 round KO of Jermaine Taylor was probably the best fight of the year.
