No. Because Martinez, Dzinziruk, and Angulo are all considered better fighters. He's viewed as the weak link. If Cotto beat Dzinziruk or Martinez for their belt I might go out on a limb and say he is a border line case, and I'm one of the biggest Cotto haters on this forum.

The resume of Fernando Vargas is better than Cotto's in my view and I don't even think he belongs in the HOF. I think it's unfair to let guys in who have become stepping stones at a young age unless they've had over 50 fights like Morales did. We need to keep the HOF for the cream of the crop. But a couple of guys got in like McGuinn and Hamed might get in unfortunately and that's what has lowered the standards. And why wouldn't Saad Muhammed not belong in the HOF? I didn't follow his career that much, but I thought people view him as a top 10 175 lber of all time.

I thought he beat Mosley and the Clottey fight could have gone either way. I thought Cotto deserved it because Clottey stopped fighting that last round of a close fight. Yes, Cotto's will get to the a hall of fame. Hall of fame doesn't mean the absolute best if you look at the names in there. Cotto's credentials should get him in the HOF.

You're talking about a C level action fighter and a 3 time world champ and top 10 P4P fighter.
All of Cotto's titles have been won in a vacant fashion though. Quintana is the only fighter that was any good that Cotto beat for a belt. The rest were nobodies. Cotto has more work to do if wants to be in the HOF. And you guys are bringing up Gatti, and I don't think he deserves to be there either.
