Footspeed and handspeed would be the same if they are fighting at 154. Have you noticed Pac's last 4 opponents have all been left hand dominant ortho stance fighters with slow feet, with the exception of Hatton, who has quick feet. It's no coincidence Hatton was able to land on Pac early and have success, it's just the other flaws that got him KO'd, he had early success because of the footspeed. Pac struggled against JMM, because JMM stepped back when Pac attacked then worked his offense. The others were sitting ducks for the speed because they lack quick foot movement.

Martinez is a southpaw (therefore no SP advantage for Manny), he has excellent stamina, footspeed and handspeed and is a counterpuncher who can fight backing up and moving forward. His performance against Williams (a very tall pressure fighter, who beat Margarito at his own game) proves Maravilla can currently handle a pressure fighter who throws alot. Let's not forget pressure from a big man is diff to pressure from a small man. Martinez has the advantage in size and reach. He also throws every punch effectively including the right hook upstairs and down.

Pac would go in underdog against Martinez at 154.......

if hes too small then he shouldnt be fighting. he feels hes good enough and win an 8th title then he should win the 8th title in the right weight class thats set for that title. point blank period. catch weights imo are ok non title dream matches. but not so you can win a title and you cant make 154

You're comparing a young, green version of Martinez who lost to Margarito to a prime Pacquiao?

Where is the logic in that?

Martinez is a much more mature, experienced and complete fighter now.

good fight...but martinez's size can overwhelm manny... this could look like a more competitive version of B-Hop vs. Oscar

i'm curious how would he? Specifically what advantages would he have at 154? What plan or strengths would work for him?

This is mad ******. We seen manny frustrated against Marquez and Morales, and he didn't up it to the next level.

Wheres every time Floyd has been noticeably rocked, he would immediately go into the next gear. Young Mayweather did it perfectly like they teach you to do when hurt after Mosley rocked him.

It takes a zen state of mind to handle it as professionally as Floyd did when Mosley rocked him. It takes a zen state of mind to remain calm under danger and accordingly make the necessary adjustments. It takes a zen state of mind to be Floyd Mayweather in the ring. A lesser fighter would instinctively and emotionally react, making more mistakes.

Floyd has broke his hand during a fight before, and upon returning to his corner he told them can't quit. manny has had two bad cuts on separate occasions and wanted to quit each time.

Why is manny mentally stronger than Floyd? Because Floyd actually has a personality outside of the ring? rofl
