So let me get this straight. Coming into December, nobody was giving Pavlik a chance against Williams. Now a couple weeks later, Williams struggles with a speedy southpaw who punches from angles (the exact opposite fighter of Pavlik) and Pavlik dominates a come-forward guy with no defense whatsoever, and the world turns on its head?

What makes any of you think you can gauge this fight based on both men's last two performances?

And was I the only guy who saw Espino hit Pavlik almost at will last night? I know the guy has no power, but my God, Pavlik has no defensive ability at all.

And you all are out of your minds if you think Pavlik beats Abraham. He ducked him for a reason.

Don't understand the sudden Pavlik love at all. Maybe Mayweather should knock out some nobodies and maybe this board will fall in love with him overnight?

Now Abraham has more power than Pavlik and better defense. Williams throws more punches. They are definitely good fights because all three have the potential to beat the other guys.
Very good post. I'm amazed at the amount of people on here not giving Pavlik a chance.

The guy didn't look in his last fight considering he didn't fight a P4P kinda guy.

One dementional, his D needs to be worked on, he has good pop and can fight close/inside but as soon as he faces a slick fighter or someone who gives him angles, he will get beat. Hopkins made easy work of him, Taylor nearly had him out in the 1st fight and was up on the scores.

Nothing against him, I just don't see him being as great as you see him.
            Everyone got their own opinions...

I'm not singling you out. I'm not even doubting you have been saying this. I'm just saying everywhere I turn, it's a sudden Pavlik lovefest. I think boxing fans are slowly becoming more and more like MMA fans with the way they fall in love with a guy after he knocks out a bum. It's like flavor of the month around here.

****, look at Martinez for example. Suddenly, everybody is saying Martinez is p4p one of the best in the sport based on one fight. It's just nonsense and it's getting old.

And I want to ask again, was I the only one who noticed Espino hitting Pavlik at will? His chin wasn't as good and his punches weren't as strong so he lost. But the guy was hitting Pavlik clean every round.

I'm pretty sure Williams hits harder than Miguel Espino and has a much better chin.

Maybe Pavlik beats Williams, but for everyone to run around screaming it the day after Pavlik KOs a total bum just makes us look like ******ed MMA fans.

Pavlik was getting tagged a lot, he needs to work on his D. He's lucky his opponent had no pop in his punches.
