He's got a great record and fought most of the best. Losing to manny there is no shame in. 34/2-27ko...75% ko ratio. not bad at all! Cotto's a very good fighter. Manny's a great fighter.
Cotto needs to kick that lame ass team to the curb and get a real trainer, like Naaz. And be willing to humble himself and take advice and directions if he wants to become more of a complete fighter. If not, he might lose future fights he could potentially win with a really good team.
He has to many flaws and he needs a real trainer that knows how to help Cotto get over the mental "bump' he needs to get over so he can start from scratch and reclaim and maybe avenge a loss or maybe...maybe even the one with Manny. Cotto wasnt defeated by plaster Margarito. But he sure was beaten by Pac. Cotto didnt complain about the weight after the fight. He just acknowledged Pac was the best boxer in the world.
He did complain about plaster boy though.Comment

the Cotto fight was just proof that the world is on Pacquiao's nuts. how can a fighter who doesn't pertain to a division go up in weight, challenge the Champion at a lesser weight than what a Championship bout mandates and still leave as a champion? if Pacquiao didn't want to make it to 147 then he was supposed to make it a non title bout but in order to grease his way into whatever fame he's trying to get they bend the rules for this guy. they even went as far as to design a new championship title when it was in doubt whether Pacquiao would be able to fight for the title Cotto had and tried to make it seem like something legit, like the Diamond belt wasn't just a ploy to give Manny a chance at a title he didn't deserve..
how can you say a Welterweight Championship fight is taking place at 145 and not 147? that is complete BULL****. that Diamond belt was constructed at a time where it was in doubt that Pacquiao could even fight for a title against Cotto, that "Diamond" belt is the fakest title yet man how do you create a whole world title for one fight? they made that so Pacquiao, IN CASE he couldn't fight for Cotto's belt as should have been the case he could still have a 1 time only belt they would "pass" as legit, they however were able to negotiae Cotto's belt on the line which is like I said BULL**** and it left that fake ass Diamond Belt as just icing on the cake..
I get pissed off man because why don't they try to kick that **** to Floyd? because Floyd is too smart to give them their way yo he ain't just gonna let that roc, he inputs himself in those decisions whereas Cotto just takes whats placed in front of him, they did this not because it was right but oly because they knew they could gt away with it from a no talk back kind of guy like Cotto and it ****in pisses me off.. that's fake in it's own rightComment
