Calzaghe will be lucky to get into the Hall of Fame. If he had lost any of his fights he wouldn't have a shot at one of the easiest halls to make. That tells you his career isn't very impressive.

Calzaghe never beat a good fighter in his entire career.

He retired cuz Dawson, Ward, and Dirrell were coming up and he saw the writing on the wall. He was lucky to fight during a soft period in SMW history. Once it ended, he would have been exposed for what he really was, a nobody.
