    • Unfortunately, He is right although many of us hate him as a person his skill is superb, I just would like to see him fight a real WW like Mosley before this May/Pac because let's face it after May/Pac there is nothing boxing has to offer anymore.

        unless you think that judah, a guy who had just lost to a guy with 12 losses, is better than cotto

        unless you think that hatton, a ballooned guy at 147 who already had almost got KO'd by light punching luis collazo and had to rob him of a win, is better than cotto

        mayweather's a cherry picker with no decent record at his current weight
        Lets get real, for 1 if you think Cotto had a chance with Floyd your a damn fool, easy 12 rd dec.... Floyd fought those guys for reasons: belts and money. And if being better means that much why didnt Manny fight Mosely who came offa dominating fight with Margo instead of Cotto who got a gift win with Clottley??? And Mosely was calling him out!!!(cotto beat shane, margo killed cotto, shane killed margo, making shane number1 WW, WHY NOT FIGHT MOSELY???)

        And to top that off, instead of waiting for winner of Mosely vs Berto or even paul williams, he was willing to move up to 154lbs to fight Yuri Foreman for a 8 title...Now isnt that strange He ReFUSED to fight De La Hoya @154 (de la hoya Comfortable weight), demanded cotto to come in @145 and but is willing to move up to 154 to fight a guy who is suited for his style, even roach said and i quote "i think we're gonna move up to 154lb to fight Yuri Foreman for the 8th title, cuz thats a easy fight win can win"

          I remember when he was just regular "Pretty Boy" Floyd, all he wanted to do was get the big fights for the fans and give him a show...

          That got him nowhere because he brought it every fight and still didn't get the respect he deserved, so he reversed his role into the bad guy and now everyone wants to see him get beat...

          Floyd= Entertainment Mastermind

          You haters didn't pay to see him when he was the good guy, but you'll definitely pay to see the bad guy now....
          You are so right my friend. Well thought out statement. He is now the bad guy that everybody cannot stand. However his skills are masterful.

            All of the detractors and pachuggers are going to motivate him even more.

            A motivated Mayweather who wins even when he isnt motivated is a scary thing.

              You maybe right in that the vast majority of boxing fans everywhere have come to hate on Mayweather for the simple reason that he doesn't care for their patronage as boxing fans. His only concern is to feed his own greed with their hard earned money and "Cash" as many checks as he possibly can.

              Wow, I can see how this will bolster his popularity among fans. Placing money into Mayweather's coffer is like feeding money into a "One-Armed-Bandit." It takes and takes but doesn't give you anything back in return. You've been completely duped! We all have been completely duped by this guy!!!

                The reality is most fighters persue the most money they can get. Mayweather was not a popular fighter when he just smiled and begged for big fights. Paul Williams is going through something similar now. At the end of the day he has been a champion for most of his career and has done so by beating other champions. Once he began to persue the biggest money fight some people hated but now the big money fight is also the most dangerous. So why hate? What easy work was saying in the post you quoted was that Floyd is no longer concerned about the group of fans/ media that will never give him credit. Thus calling them haters. When Oscar and Floyd were hyping there fight there were times Oscar would leave right after the press conference and Floyd would stick around and sign autographs. Strange for someone who doesn't care about fans. (Not saying Oscar doesn't care because he is good to fans too but just couldnt hang around his time I guess.) If you are going to judge Floyd harshly you should judge all fighters the same way including your favorites.

                      I'll be honest with you, I know there is a nice guy somewhere in Pretty Boy. He just needs to stop with the "Flashy, Arrogant" stuff when he's in public. He wants to "Show Off" all his riches and such but NOBODY cares for all of that. It's more of a turnoff than anything else. He lost me as a fan because of all that BS along with his arrogant behavior which is disturbing and obnoxious. I'm quite sure he has lost the respect from fans everywhere which is sad. He needs to brighten up and appreciate what boxing fans had given him. He wouldn't be where he is today without us. JAT
