Mayweather had fought DLH at 154 and went down to 147 to fight Hatton, that's 7lbs. Drop down to 140 that would have been 7 more lbs, which equals 14lbs.

Didn't know if you knew this, but in boxing, your weight class is which ever one you fought in your last fight.

Mayweather dropped down 7 pounds from his last fight, to fight Hatton. If he had fought him at 140, that would have been 14lbs less than his last weight class at the time.
