For me, it was when Juanita turned down PAC's offer of somewhere in the 800k-750k range for a rematch and ended up fighting overseas for $30k

That's like in the upper 90% range.

Winky turning down Jermain for a rematch, Forrest turning down a shot at the middleweight championship, Marquez turning down a Pacquiao rematch worth 750k for a Chris John fight worth 30k....

The dumbest business move in boxing ever was Roy Jones taking the 2nd Tarver fight. And the haters claim Roy Jones never took risk. lol

All time it may be Pete Radamachers team electing to let him fight for the heavyweight championship against Patterson in his pro debut. As a gimmick that is almost understandable. What is unforgivable is putting him in the ring with highly rated Zora Folley in his next fight. Those two beatings probably ruined his confidence, as he probably would have had a much better career had he been brought along at the right pace.

He's made the worst business decisions of any elite fighter arguably in the last 10 years when it has comes to his career. Whether it be turning his boss down in a third fight for $10 million after beating him twice, going to fight Winky Wright in back-to-back fights for a little over $5 million or having an opportunity to fight Floyd in November 2006 for a career payday, $8 million, but instead he chose to get dental work done and take a family vacation after coming off a tremendous performance in the Vargas fight. Just a couple years ago after losing to Winky twice, he was fighting on an ESPN undercard and from there, an HBO undercard fight on Barrera's show. These are just a few examples of why he is has to be at least #2 on the list..

              The Main Points

              1. Turn a third Oscar fight for $10 million.
(Maybe because he knew he cheated in the second fight, and already cheated oscar out of money and a victory)

              2. Fought Winky Wright Twice for a 5 Million Dollars

              3. Turn Down 8 Million Dollars to fight Floyd Mayweather in 2006.
( To have some dental work done)
              .

Nah, that was the right thing to do at the time and the public loved him for it. The shame of it is how the government screwed him.

Juanita almost passed out when he saw Floyd do the rain with $30,000. Gosh I fly around the world to get my ask kick for $30,000 and you throws it away like it's nothing. He envy Floyd and idol him ever since. His wish came true when he got the fight with Floyd.
