Kelly Pavlik gave us some great fights during 2005-2007: the war with Zuniga, a good fight with Zertuche, my personal favorite with Miranda, and the unforgettable world title fight with Taylor!

He's had some serious health problems. He wasn't healthy during the Hopkins fight - if he had been, I believe he would have done better. And he's been plagued with a hand injury, then a serious hand infection, and then a bad reaction to the antibiotics...

The poor guy has had a lot of bad luck in the past 15 months, but I belive that's about to change.

Watch for Kelly to have a very successful year in 2010!

Yeah, right. He was planning on KO'ing Hopkins and all manner of arrogant ****. He was fine - the real reason he was unhealthy after the fight is because Bernard Hopkins happened.

I like the guy and want him to get back on track, too, but let's not be absurd here.

I don't remember any trash talk from Kelly, although Jack Loew is always shooting his mouth off.

No, Kelly had an elbow injury about ten days before the Hopkins fight. There were even rumors and reports the fight would have to be cancelled.

But because Pavlik was such a warrior, he wouldn't cancel or the delay the fight at that time. Maybe he learned from that to never fight when injured.
