    Is this the worst era in heavyweight history?

    Another thread I read got me thinking,Is it a myth or is it legitimate to say its the worst ever?

            You got jokes huh? The mid to late 90's was one of the best eras in heavyweight boxing in my opinion.

                  Good thread. Nice snapshot of the history of the HW division. I haven't passed much judgement on the state of the HW division currently, but this is a nice way to look at it.

                  From looking at this, I would say no, it's not the worst. But I think it's ONE of the worst. I think it's comparable with the 80's and the Marciano era.

                    yes it is by far! All of the other generations fought each other,today anyone can get a title shot with a decent win.contenders fought contenders regularily now no one takes risks.protecting the record is priority now
