The reason Mo**ey Mayweather's KO % has gone down is because of his poor workrate, I'll bet you anything Cotto's KO% wouldn't be the same if he wasn't as busy!
theres more to it then that. I agree even the biggest punchers didn't get all Koes, but Many of Floyds opponents considered him a light hitter. (and it wasn't all angry mexicans saying this to spite him). Also, when Floyd connects it doesn't even seem like he's got a lot of power either.

Floyd has a different type of power, its power by accumulation of punches. Cotto has more of the one - two punch KO power.

I mean Cotto's shots certianly have more power behind them, but it was evident that Pac saw all of his punches coming, he is a pretty predictable puncher. Floyd is much faster and we all know that the punches that you cannot see hurt the most.

I use the Marg, Mosley and Cotto argument here. Cotto hits harder than Mosley, but is not as fast and is pretty predictable. He drilled Margarito with huge shots for 11 rounds and never phased him. Mosley is much faster and hurt Marg multiple times and knocked him out.

I like the way NYU Alum used the term pop.
Floyd has excellent pop, but not much raw power.
Its more of the way he lands his punches as opposed to the power behind them that is effective.

Punching a machine to test power, Cotto will certinaly win. He may even be stronger than Pac on a power machine. However both have speed that can make someone feel more hurt.

I'd say Mosely hits harder than Cotto to the head. However I'm pretty sure Marg wouldn't be 100% after all the shots he took from Cotto. He just has a tough face

lol @ all the desparate Floyd Fans trying to act as if Floyd hits harder after watching Manny walk through cotto's shots.

remind me how many Ko's Floyd has at WW, then look at Cotto's KO record. Thanks.

                    PERFECT!i agree with u man.

Shanes power doesn't fade, that's why. Cotto was doing a hell of a lot of damage to Marg early.
