Manny knows what he takes comes from Ariza, but that doesn't mean he studies the bottle of every supplement. He trusts Ariza with his job. Now there are whispers on this message board that Ariza is dirty, but I'd like to see a link from a credible news source that implicates Ariza in any illegal PED activity.

Supplements can be considered performance enhancers, but that doesn't mean they're illegal. 100% of athletes take some sort of legal supplement, including Floyd Mayweather.

Now look at how ripped Pacquiao is, also consider that he's moving up from 135. That's very impressive but you also have to be a little skeptical.

Umm...I thought ODLH was past his prime? and was weight drained?

I'm a Mets fan but I can't say (As a Dominican) that I wasn't proud of Miguel Tejada, Ramirez, Ortiz, Sosa at one point and look at what happened...all got caught cheating. I no longer respect those guys.

You know what - let's be honest here. Boxers don't always fight in the weight class they belong. Bernard Hopkins, when he moved up to face Tarver a few years ago, admitted he'd been killing himself at his age to make 160 for quite some time and that, while he did it, he was much more comfortable at the higher weight. He looked that way, too.

What I'm trying to say is- like Paul Williams fighting at 147- sometimes big men can drain themselves to fight at lower weights to fight naturally smaller men. While I'm not proposing that's what Pacquaio did, I do think it's obvious he's packed on so much muscle and definition seemingly naturally that people are skeptical. Nobody expects Manny to be a welterweight even if he's moved up. All the steroids rumors come from how healthy and strong he looks - the too-good-to-be-true theory.

Well, I'm not sold that he couldn't be using something, I mean any athlete theoretically could be, but I have no reason to doubt Manny Pacquiao in particular, either. I mean, he didn't just up 20 pounds and come to a weigh in looking gigantic and muscle bound overnight. He made a steady transition up.

I think Manny is just naturally ready to be a larger man than he once was.

Personally, I think PEDs should be made legal if it's not harming the fighter. The problem is, because no one wants to admit they're on them, it's impossible to do any real long-term testing. And PEDs have advanced - no more balding like Evander Holyfield and co.

Man, it's amazing. PED users aren't always visual to the eye but some boxers are so obvious, it's hilarious. It's like the gay actor who swears he's not. And I'm not referring to Pacquiao. I'm talking about so many other boxers on here who are rarely, if ever, accused. ****, Viitaly Klitschko - who has a PHD in Sports Medicine - was kicked off his Olympic team for roids and hardly anyone ever suspects him. Pacquiao is suffering because he's the top dog.
And that is why we are able to speak like men about this. You made some good points, that I will not dispute. The reason for Roy taking roids was unknown to me. Toney had a broken bone in his arm (hints the anibolic roids he tested positive for)....I don't know. I know Mayorga tested positive for some sort of horse steriod to make weight for the Oscar fight.

I guess once you think about it, your line of thinking is not off at all. im just the type of person that requires proof.

It's a great comparison, look at their physique and how both perform.

Toney tested positive twice so I don't know what his excuse is. Besides, just because he used it to help an injury doesn't make it ok. Hell, that's the #2 reason why most athletes use it. Not only that, I don't believe him anyway. Toney always looked like a cycler to me, growing man **** and all. I felt kinda strange watching him against Holyfield. Same with Roy - first time he used? I doubt it. But who knows? Go to any boxing gym and they'll tell you that most guys are on one thing or the other. Why wouldn't they?

Wrong. These guys are putting their arguments forth carefully and are not really accusing anyone. If anything ariza is being accused, and Manny almost excused.

I do think it would behoove Manny (for his reputation's sake) to make himself aware of what he is taking. I think it is every athlete's responsibility to do so.
