    fitefandotcom accuses Pac of roids!

they said that Ariza said he don't know if Pac has taken anything illegal,Ariza is to blame if Pac ever tests dirty, but if all this is false info from the site mods, then that's even worse because they are tarnishing Pac's image.

The funny thing is that this wouldn't even be in question if Senior never said anything. You guys are pathetic. Even you Larry X. Of course you would believe this *****. The only thing that seperates you and Burner and a couple of threads, but your character is one in the same.

Pacquiao on Steroids? Don’t Ask Him
            By Anwar Jamison (15-Dec-2009)

In light of the recent speculation (however unfounded) by some in the boxing industry that Manny Pacquiao may have had some “help” with his journey into the welterweight division, Anwar Jamison takes a look at a troubling side plot to this story. Read on to find out more, only on FightFan.com!

            Photo: Joe Bruiser
Let me begin by saying, I don’t know whether or not Manny Pacquiao has ever taken any illegal substances and I’m not pretending that I know. However, according to his conditioning expert, Alex Ariza, he doesn’t know either. This disturbs me a little bit.

Over the past couple of months, whispers began that maybe Pacquiao wasn’t completely clean. Basically, these whispers started much as they did with popular baseball players such as Mark McGwire, Barry Bonds, and Sammy Sosa. Like these baseball icons, he got bigger, stronger, and performed greater athletic feats than had previously been thought possible. Only instead of knocking baseballs out of a stadium, he was knocking the heads off boxers who only a year before those fights, would have outweighed him by as much as twenty pounds.

The talk seemed to originate from Floyd Mayweather Sr., father of Floyd Mayweather Jr, who will step into the ring against Pacquiao on March 13. Many people dismissed it as “hate,” or looking for an excuse in the event his son loses to Pacquiao. Then, boxers chimed in, most notably jr. welterweight, Paulie Malinaggi who stated, “ I think there is something up with Manny Pacquiao. I am not going to get into it. I think people will understand what I am saying. Full blown welterweights don’t take those type of punches from Miguel Cotto the way he took them with total disregard for his power nor do they hurt him with every punch they hit him with. These are full blown welterweights I am talking about. This guy is coming up in weight and doing all these things. There is something up with this guy but that’s as far as I am going to go into it.”

Again, Pacquiao fanatics argue that Malignaggi is just jealous because he can’t punch that hard and so on and so forth. Again, who’s to say? Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao will be one of the biggest fights in boxing history. Of course, all sports fans hope that the athletes are clean and competing on a level playing field. No one wants to believe that an athlete as accomplished and celebrated as Pacquiao would cheat – including me.

The latest layer of conversation in this matter has been added by Ariza, Pacquiao’s own conditioning expert. His remarks are the most alarming to me, and somewhat puzzling. Amidst reports that both boxers will submit to additional, “Olympic-style” drug testing leading up to the fight, Ariza has angrily fired comments at Mayweather’s camp. He has asserted that Mayweather is looking for an excuse, and that he really doesn’t want to fight Pacquiao, but in the middle of this statement is where it got weird, and borderline alarming to me. Ariza stated, “I am the one in charge, I’m the one responsible for what Manny takes. He has no idea what he takes. I don’t give my guys any steroids. What I give them is all natural and its my own special blend of different things.”

Remember when Bonds tested positive for “the clear?” When Bonds said he didn’t know that it was steroids that he was rubbing on him, he was ridiculed and vilified by the media. People wondered how a millionaire athlete, who makes his living with his body, could put something into it and not now what it was. Remember that? Every time an athlete gets caught taking steroids, and they say they didn’t know what they were taking, it becomes fodder for everyone to take shots and them and basically say, “you don’t believe we’re that ****** do you?”

Now, on the eve of the biggest fight of his career, we have Manny Pacquiao’s conditioning expert boldly declaring that, “I am the one in charge, I’m the one responsible for what Manny takes. He has no idea what he takes.”

Really? So, what he’s telling us is that Manny Pacquiao can’t say for sure that he hasn’t been taking steroids for the past year and a half since he battered Oscar De La Hoya into retirement.

Some people are arguing that it is impossible for Pacquiao to have put on that much muscle, actually gotten stronger and beaten his heavier opponents worse than he was beating his smaller opponents, without some “illegal” help. So, let’s speak hypothetically for a moment. Let’s say you’re Ariza, a conditioning expert, and you know that it is impossible to do that without steroids. Then, “The Golden Boy” Oscar De La Hoya makes Pacquiao an offer he can’t refuse. The payday for that fight might be close to what you’ve made in all of your other fights combined. As his conditioning expert, you don’t want to be the one to break the news to the team that it is impossible and that you shouldn’t try to take this fight.

So, since you’re the only one who knows what your man takes, and you’re mixing up your own “special blend of things” anyway, who would ever know if you start slipping him something extra? Since he doesn’t know what he’s taking anyway, you could relieve him of any wrongdoing, because he doesn’t know—and apparently doesn’t want to know. Hmmm.

I know a lot of Pacquiao fans will say all type of bad things about me when they read this. They’ll ask, “who the hell do I think I am?” They’ll say I’m just a Fraud Gayweather fan (as some of them like to say) and that I am just hating on Pac-man.

That couldn’t be further from the truth. Actually, I’m a huge boxing fan, who can’t wait to see one of the biggest fights ever. I’m also a sports fan, who just witnessed “the Steroid era” in baseball and is confused by Ariza’s statement. Manny Pacquiao doesn’t know what he’s putting into his body, so let’s just all hope that Alex Ariza is an honest man.
