it wasn't even counterpunching that outdid manny. almost everyone tries to counterpunch him. no one dare go toe to toe with manny at 126-130.

what morales did was take advantage of manny's one dimensional style and awkward balance back then.

with morales length and chin , he can keep pacquiao on the outside and force pacquiao to lunge at him.

he would let pacquiao get off and when pacquiao is done punching he would back pacquiao up.

morales did a lot of counterpunching but it wasn't just all he did.

you have to back pacquiao up to be effective against him. if you can't back pacquiao up , you can't beat him.

He thought Erik was done after the losses to Barrera, and the loss in his tune up, Pac thought he could come in over aggressive and blow Erik away, but Erik counter punced Pac and schooled him, I think that was both Pac and roach's wake up call!

Well JMM did very well agaisnt Manny and Manny was the agressor in that fight. Cotto backed Manny up a bit and ended up getting the **** kicked out of him, but I agree with your general point.
