did those loses took anything away from him??
Well it worked for him so far...it was good motivation.

i think he held back that fight....correct me if im wrong but isnt that barerra's goodbye fight?

Pac explained how he didnt want to beat someone who's retiring that badly , and he had a lot of respect for barerra.

He fought three fights after Pacquiao, his last fight actually was against Amir Khan.

Barrera was clearly looking to survive in the late rounds of that fight and Manny took his foot off the gas. I didn't see it as "Pacquiao is losing it" at all.

If he is great then you guys have nothing to worry about. If he is not then you will be very sad come march 13th. Mayweather is the cream of the crop. He is boxing!! I , unlike many of you, know and study boxing, over 35 years now, and counting. I have watched Pacmans fights since the beginning including his pro debut on American soil. He has proved to be a tuff blood and guts fighter, no question about that. He has also showed a lack of defense which is more inportant than offense. Any fool can be taught to throw a punch, but only a true boxer can master defense, for you jr's that means Blocking, slipping, rolling, bobbing, weaving. THIS IS WHY PACMAN LOOSSES AND MAWEATHER WINS!!

did you get to watch Klitschko vs Johnson the other day?

Defense doesnt mean **** if you dont throw ****. While Johnson had a great defense against klitscko....he lacked fckin offense....there's your example of someone who you said "anyone can be taught to throw punches" ........but i dont think i can call that dude a fckin "master boxer" just because he had great defense......he had a damn output of what? 5-7 punches a round? lol.

to assume that defense always trumps offense is bull. i thought ur a student of boxing?

that's a simple question many people don't know much about because they either only watch the "big time fights" (those people are hype beasts lol) or they don't know much about past or present prime time fighters...

now his first 2 loses were knockout loses (like mayweather likes to brag about lol), but what people don't know are that those 2 knockout loses were from body shots...and those fights he has said that he was starving and the reason he was fighting was to just get some money for him and his family to eat (true fighters story, gotta love it)...

and as most people know, he lost his 3rd match against the great and legendary eric morales...morales out jabbed him and pacquiao still brought the fight to him, but was clearly beaten (no doubt about it)....from that fight on, coach roach has persistently worked on manny's right and it's become a devastating weapon in boxing today...

in boxing, u have got to have a short term memory and the reason is because you need to forget about your mistakes and move on and get better...and pacquiao, wow lol...this guy just keeps impressing even some big time boxing fans on what he's able to do

even during some of his unfortunate times, pacquiao never makes any excuses and u gotta love a fighter like that...

              he didn't really hold back.

              barrera just fought to survive.

hard to ko someone who is just in there doing that.

look at the last few rounds of pac-cotto.

Whatever it was, it was a wide UD. I guess people are just shocked because Pacquiao didn't KO somebody for a change.

Only once KO'd by body shot. I keep trying to clear up the confusion. However, quite a few people think there was a low blow involved in one of the KO's. It's still somewhat of a mystery. But anyway, one was a definite body shot KO, the other was not, as far as I'm concerned.

Pacquiao was massively drained for the Singsurat fight though. I think that's why he was knocked out. No way does he lose to the likes of Medgoen Singsurat otherwise.

Oh man. See what 35 years of studying boxing has taught you? No self control.

You have a tendency to (probably) threaten anyone who says otherwise about your FMWJr. with Jihad-like fervor.

                    Cool it.

as much as i love watching a guy with tremendous defense like mayweather, that is completely false as to what boxing is all about...

now u talk about being a long time fan, but do u recall the name willie pep?? lol i'm sure u do...even moderate boxing fans can remember that name...anyways, that guy was the true defensive master (and yeah he was in a different time, but that's like saying kobe is better than jordan lol...)..now this dude, mr. pep, wouldn't throw a punch in some rounds AND WIN IT!!! he would simply do this to show his superior boxing ability...it was truly remarkable and no one will ever come to that kind of great defense, but mayweather is pretty damn close lol

sorry lol, lemme get back to topic....now defense IS NOT what boxing is all about...plain and simple...u ask any boxing historian or boxer, and they will tell you that they have the better respect for a guy with a great chin, one who can take a punch and throw one...fighters who get knocked down, get up and knock the other guy out, that's what a boxing classic is all about!!! a boxer who can defy all odds, overcome them, and win...

regardless, if pacquiao wins or loses, u cannot take away what this little fighter has done...your talking about a guy who reached his 7th title, by "standing in the damn pocket with a dangerous fighter, taking his shots, and dishing them out right back!!" lol...roy jones was pot shotting against john ruiz, ray leonard hit and ran (and flurried and the final seconds to steal rounds lol) against hagler, and mayweather pot shotted against de la hoya...now don't get me wrong those fighters are pound for pound fighters of all time...but please do not, by any circumstances, discredit pacquiao by any means...

people saying whoever wins needs to go in the history books (no doubt)...but BOTH fighters are definitely deserving to be ranked in the ATG list
