You know what this means. Haye and Booth have no say over who Haye fights for the forseeable future. They only have a say in where he fights, not who he fights. Sauerland and Don King both have a say in Haye's future now. That means this: Ruiz, Valuev II, Ruiz II or Valuev III, Ray Austin, Sergei Liakhovich. Haye had a golden chance to fight the best HW fighters in the world, and if he would have won as easily as he said he would (which he obviously didn't believe himself), he would have been king of the freaking universe. Now he is going to be Sauerland's puppet. How is that a great move? The belt he has is a joke, because Chagaev was the real champion -- Valuev lost to him and never fought him again. So in theory, Wlad has that belt too, having beaten Chagaev. Haye is in official heavyweight no man's land, and one lucky punch from someone like Ruiz means his chances of ever fighting a Klitschko for a big payday are OVER.
An exceedingly ****** move by Haye and Booth, but what else is new?
King/Sauerland has options for Haye for his next 3 fights, nothing more! After Ruiz, he will propably fight Liak or rematch Valuev and if Haye wins all this, which i think he will, Sauerland/King will let him fight a Klit cause win or lose that will make much more money for them than any other fight.

Who has Ruiz fought in his last fight? A bum and he doesnt look good to me, maybe he fights more fan friendly now and a bit more entertaining, but that was not a good performance, even against this local bum! Ruiz will get schooled as he was aginst Jones! But this time he may get knocked out! Against Ruiz haye will fight much more agressive. Ruiz is not verry dangerous. Hes not verry fast and also not verry strong. His skills are nothing special as well. Ruiz is good but he has no tools or strenghts to beat Haye. hes just a balanced fighter without big flaws but also no big strenghts and hes old.

All he needs is a good shot on Haye's china chin and it's game over. Ruiz is a legit heavyweight and has fought a lot of tough heavyweight fighters. Haye is a blown-up cruiserweight with little experience in a tough heavyweight fight. But it's good if you Haye fans take Ruiz lightly. I want the hype on Haye to keep going, so I get some nice odds when I bet on Ruiz to win.

Three fights at the rate Haye fights at could take three years!

How do you all know Haye is in a 3 fight contract with King etc?

Ruiz is the mand, he isn't fighting him for any other reason.

I tend to believe Dan Rafael, who spends all day talking with various
boxing people on the phone. His info is generally right on the money.

And why would Sauerland just give Haye a shot at their champion and ask for nothing in return? Wouldn't happen, dude.

Although I'm not impressed by Vitali's boxing ability, he does fight the best opponents out there and that earns my respect. I just don't know if Haye will actually wanna fight him or if he's all talk.

Hopefully they can actually get the fight done.

Rafael is not known for being balanced, or for giving both sides of the story, and he has consistently been extremely biased against Haye. And in any case, in the article you linked to, Rafael specifically says:

"[Haye] has Ruiz mandatory in the spring and then maybe a fight with one of the Klitschkos."

So Rafael himself doesn't think Sauerland would stand in the way of a Klitschko fight.

Sauerland (not King, directly) have three options on Haye, but that just means they get some of the money for three fights, it doesn't necessarily mean that they can stop him fighting the opponents he wants to fight, that's just speculation by Rafael. And even Rafael doesn't think they'd try to stop him fighting one of the Klitschkos.

The biggest money fight by far that Haye could possibly be involved in would be against one of the Klitschkos, so it's in Sauerland's own financial interests for that fight to happen.

good point and all but for me its to much of a coincidence haye pulls out of a Wlad fight then Vitali and signs on to fight Valuev???
That right there says enough about us questioning him and his motives. To me right now it looks like hes all smack talk and nothing else why is he talking about fighting Vitali but not till Novemeber, ok you have a mandatory or what it is against Ruiz fight him in Feb March from march till November is 8 months??? Lets schedule a Vitali fight for Novemeber then pull out again, all haye is to me is a *****

The only thing the Klitschko have to do is offer a fair deal and then Haye will be exposed as a ducker, until then the Klitschko are at fault just as much as Haye if the fight doesn't get made.
