Comments Thread For: Ward vs Taylor is On For April; DiBella Walks Away

“I have just been informed though numerous press reports that Jermain Taylor has elected to continue his participation in The Super Six: World Boxing Classic tournament, and will face Andre Ward in April. It is with a heavy heart, but strong conviction, that I will recuse myself and DiBella Entertainment as Jermain’s promoter.

I'm not interested in this bout. Not one bit. The outcome is easy to see, Ward by mid stoppage.

I'm starting to get a bit worried for Taylor's health as well. Getting KO'd back to back like that is not a good sign at all.

If he still wants to box he should withdrawal and maybe fight someone like Edison Miranda or some C-level guys if he wants to earn a little bit of cash and win.

Taylor is such a good guy, man... I don't want to see him get hurt, and he ultimately will if he somehow progresses further into this tournament.

Good on DiBella for doing the right thing. I just hope Taylor realises soon that he's making a mistake.

Those were some classy comments. More boxingpeople should think the way DiBella does.

If DiBella gives up a 6 digit payday, he must really care about him and/or not want the heat if Taylor gets hurt.

Taylor might get beat up, but he won't get brutally knocked out against Ward. I can see Taylor's jabe, speed, power, and athleticism giving Ward some problems too, but Ward is young, fast, will psuh forward, and is athletic himself.

Lou DiBella just upgraded his status from douchebag to prick.

I still don't like the guy.
