I think it will be interesting to see if Floyd's relative lack of activity in the last 30 months has any affect on him. He did have a great performance against Marquez, but this is going to be Pacquiao's 4th "superfight" in the last 18 months and he's barely lost a round in the previous three.

Many knowledgeable boxing fans dont give Pac credit he rightfully desrves mainly because he's an awkward fighter and has many flaws. I, for one, thought that the Cotto fight would be competitive because i dont think Pac would be that good to duke it out with Cotto but Pac proved me wrong many times. He has ways of pulling out something new in his bag of boxing tricks every time he fights in the ring. On March 13th, i hope that Pac will surprise me again with a new trick Floyd didn't see coming. Let this be warning to those who's in the know, they'll be in for the shock of their life. I won't.

Manny's style is Manny's style. There's no changing it. But they will have to work on different strategy because he's dramatically different from the last four opponents Manny faced. Freddie said they had a Plan A and a Plan B for Cotto (one if he went to war and another if he decided to box/counterpunch), he'll likely need Plans A-R for the Mayweather fight because Floyd adapts so well and can change tactics on the fly.

It will be interesting to see if Freddie can come up with an alternative style that Manny can employ. My guess is that Manny will pull an Arturo Gatti. He will try to box, but when that doesn't work, he will resort to his old style of brawling.

Mayweather vs Pacquiao is gonna be a great fight. Styles make fights and Pacquiao is gonna make Mayweather fight. Floyd will try to keep the fight at a distance using the jab and quick foot movement. Lead rights will give Manny some trouble so he better be careful. Manny throws wide punches alot so he better fix that against Mayweather or he will pay. Watch for Floyd to tie Mannny up after a quick flurry . Counter Left hooks by Mayweather will take that southpaw jab away from Manny. Pac also blocks with his hands high so the lead jab to the body will be a great weapon for Mayweather. Pacquiao has to work on his defence for this fight. He tends to fight wild and emotional. He has to relax and fight smart. Don't try and box Mayweather, he has to fight him.
Throw punches in bunches. Make Mayweather have to dig deep. Fight at a fast pace. Don't get into a thinking match with Mayweather because he is just too smart. Make him fight so that maybe he will make some mistakes like in the corley and judah fights. Feint him and don't just walk in. Manny's right hook is the key. Floyd will be looking for that strait left all night. Lead left hands by Pacquiao will be key. keep Mayweather guessing by throwing the jab, lead right hooks, lead left hands, and right hooks to the body. Manny can not just head hunt. Find Mayweathers body as much as possible. All of this sounds easier said than done for both fighters. Thats why this is such a great fight. People who say Manny doesn't stand a chance need to stop it. This is the first fighter Mayweather has fought with these type skills. Fast, Power in both hands , Relentless, Heart, fast feet to get to Mayweather, Good Chin, Stamina, No fear. Unlike Judah who faded after 4 rounds. I pick Mayweather to win but it won't be easy. If either fighter makes it look easy it would shock the ---t out of me.

Can Mayweather still fight at a high pace for 12 rounds?
Can Pacquiao force Mayweather (who always controls the fight) to fight at a high pace?
Can Pacquiao take all those right hands?
Can Floyd be accurate as usual against someone so unorthodox?
Can Mayweather avoid being hit and hurt by right hooks?

I am so glad I don't know the answers. Usually fights are easy to read. This one does not look like it.

I second this.. except I'll add a prediction. May wins 70-85 percent of the first half. In the later rounds May slows down and Manny starts landing. He gets a knockdown. May plays safe in the last 2 rounds and they can go either way. We Go to decision. Manny wins a controversially close split. He gets the decision because his proactive and exciting style biasis the judges a la JMM fight.
