I haven't see all of pacquiao fights, but i have seen his recent losses and close fights. Morales is similar to floyd in height and reach. When morales was still able to move, he got out of the way of that flurry ish. Floyd moves twice as fast as morales and punches harder! Got more skill than prime morales

Nah, we're seeing this very different. Back to footwork. That'll be Manny's key. He's also willing to take a few punches to give his own, so steaming right in there like a train might not even be a bad idea, as long as he's prepared to eat a little bit of leather to get there he'll be fine.

I agree with that. that's all he can do to win is go for broke! But when he keeps getting hit with punches he don't see. he'll rethink that quick.

Floyd is the defensive genius because he sees everything coming...he's fighting a fighter that opponents have attested to having punches that 'they never saw coming'


floyd might see 80% of those that others might not see...the question is; what happens to the 20% that get thru?

You're looking at an old version of Pacquiao though man. The Pacquiao that fought Morales had nowhere near the right hand or the power he has at 140+ lbs. Big mistake to look at old fights like that (and even the last Marquez fight) and expect Manny to be the same fighter. The improvement is easy to see.

Its really hard to judge. The safe bet is to say Floyd by UD, but i dont really buy that yet.

I was watching the demarcus corley fight yesterday and saw floyd getting tagged alot by him. Granted corley is much taller then pac but he is also alot slower. I just think floyd has a really hard time with southpaws and his uncle isnt a good enough coach to make a gameplan around it.

Its hard for me to say who i think is going to win, im leaning towards floyd but i still dont really know

so when floyd threw that 5 punch on hatton in the middle of ring isn't flourishing. When he was countering Oscar in the middle of the ring that wasn't flourishing. when he KOed Corley in the middle of the ring is not flourishing? what about when he stopped Augustus in the middle of the ring, that's not flourishing/

No need to attack me Cortdawg...been watching Floyd since Augustus/Chico....I am very well aware of what Floyd USE to do....
Since Hatton, as some will say, has always been overrated with no defense...is that 5 punch combo really that impressive since he has no headmovement? I believe that "countering DLH" was key...and one of my points...doesn't have to be in the "middle of the ring" but DLH doesn't even have 1/2 handspeed and footwork of Pac. KOing Corley (Floyd UD him by the way) and Augustus (very impressive) were nice....but that Floyd is dead. IF "Pretty Boy" returns....then this will be the fight everyone hopes for....if its "Money" in there....I expect to see Floyd potshotting and setting traps on the ropes.

morales 1 was 4 and 1/2 years ago.

pacquiao has changed a little since then.

pacquiao changed from 2 years ago.

best gameplan is still how morales fought but to apply it you still have to get aggressive on pacquiao and back him up. very dangerous.
