I disagree. He got quick feet yeah, but not great footwork. it's good when attacking and fleeing. But he doesn't position fighters for shots with his footwork. he uses pure speed for his offense only.

Floyd gon control the distance the whole fight. And come march 14th, I want some good karma from you for my analysis!

The way to beat Pacquiao is to stand your ground, and keep him off by countering, not with single shots, but with 5 punch combos. otherwise he will come back and swap you.

i don't know if stand your ground is the best idea.

i say take a step back or two , make pacquiao reach with his 2nd or 3rd shots (pacquiao never throws one at a time)


but you're right about the combos.

pacquiao will keep coming if you throw one punch.

you need the 2nd or 3rd to make him stop and try to block or dodge.

once he goes to block or dodge then time him with the 4th and 5th shots.

Well, technically it is a Welterweight fight, just like Pacquiao-Cotto, since anything above 140 to 147 is Welterweight. That's not my point. You shouldn't agree to a catchweight without an intention honoring it, IMO. It's not cool or clever, I see it as a sign of weakness.

I disagree man, I think Floyd needs to come with the right game plan. If Floyd is Floyd of the last few years, I don't think it's enough. Dude's defense is beautiful, but he needs to be a little more aggressive to hold Pacquiao off, otherwise Manny walks through him.

my take..........i think manny showed in the cotto and jmm fight that he doesnt like movement..hell in the cotto fight he str8 up got frustrated...i think he's been matched with a certain style his entire career and in this fight that will be exposed..floyds fought every style there is....if he was frustrated with cotto's movement...floyd might make him pull some hair out of his head...floyd will use angles and distance and cut mannys workrate in half..manny will give floyd trouble in the first 4 rounds imo with his speed and southpaw stance..but i think once floyd times him and gets his rhytmn him left hooks and lead rights will bust manny up..i see floyd winning maybe 8-4 ud or late stoppage

IF Manny fights the right fight....Floyd can look really bad.....
Floyd will not want to engage with Manny....hell, Cotto tried and we all saw what happened. Manny can only win this fight IF HE KEEPS IT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING.....do not follow Floyd to the ropes...a'la Roy Jones....following Floyd to the ropes is like falling for his traps...Manny will get countered all night, but I doubt hurt.

If Manny can keep the fight in the middle, AND not follow Floyd to the ropes, I'm sure that Floyd will at some point be forced to engage with Manny in the middle....the boos from the crowd and Manny waving him "come on, fight me" would probably egg Floyd on....(I can wish right?)

All in all....if Manny follows Floyd to the ropes...I see a Floyd SD......if Manny can keep the fight in the middle and force Floyd to engage...I see Manny with late round stoppage of UD.
