you made good points about why it should be at vegas and not dallas, but come on 19,000 capacity @ staples center. Thats more than vegas, but not much more. and dallas can hold 100,000.

i just think its ****** for schaefer not to fly down to dallas to meet w/ jerry jones. what could it hurt
    .
Well, in all fairness, if Staples and MGM have put offers forward, but Texas Stadium has not, then why would he go tour the place that has NOT shown him the money?

If you take a draconian business view, then Richard is right.

100,000 people would be watching on a video screen..right? There's no hope of actually seeing the ring action. So, it would be the same as being in Vegas and watching on the video screen.

What IS interesting about the LA proposal is that t hey have clearly thought about things like fan experience (partying/hanging for the week) and hotels.

Previous big fights have worked in AC or even Memphis. ...but Vegas has added a ton of rooms recently.

I don't understand what the "Dallas people" think they would do all week. Go to Hooter's?

good point, but im sure jerry jones would of gave them a bid as soon as they toured the stadium.

IMHO i think if it is gonna be hosted out of las vegas, then it should be at dallas.

if the fight isnt held at dallas, it needs to be in vegas
Cowboys stadium is on Arlington TX, not in Dallas.

Yes... we just use "Dallas" to mean the D/FW Metroplex.

actually, why is the stadium on Arlington and not in the actual Dallas area? the old Cowboys stadium was in Irving, is Dallas too overpopulated to create a stadium there?

about a 1.5 hour drive north of texas stadium, there is a casino called winstar, where you can gamble but its nothing compared to vegas.

and a 2.5 hour drive east is shreveport louisiana where you can gamble and its a lil better than winstar.

so there is some places you can go, but i get your point
