The economic analysis about site selection is pretty complex. You have to look at ticket prices, number of seats, amount of site fee offered, travel/relocation/set-up costs, broadcast costs, TAXES, etc.

And those are just the economic factors. Then you have important non-economic factors such as relationships, contracts, logistics, etc.

I can understand why they are looking at this carefully. It's smart not to rush.

Why would Shaefer schedule a visit and back out because "it's an outdoor stadium"? He would have known before hand that the stadium has can be closed.

This reeks of Mayweather telling Shaefer to have the fght in Vegas or **** off. That's what I think and I'm sticking to it.

as far as I know Jerry Jones wants to pimp out his stadiumn to any big event possible. He needs to make some money on that thing anyway, it cost him over a billion dollars. 'm pretty positive that the offer was handsome. Any good promoter tries to get hs fighter the bmost money possible.

Looking at it carefully is going to the tour and hearing the sales pitch out. They did the complete opposite of looking at it carefully.

Dallas stadium is not a good place to have the fight. In Vegas, you're close to your hotel and can get more ****ed up by drinking after the fight is over, everything is walking distance.

Yes it is, LF. It would've been nice.

That is true. People can puke anywhere in Vegas after a long night of partying and it's like a normal everyday thing.

To Richard's point: Do I need to tour the arena to understand the economics?

My company has outsourced the economic analysis of MUCH BIGGER deals to India.

If the economics don't work, I don't need to get on a plane.
