Maidana isn't a very skilled fighter but he applys pressure, has good power and is durable.
He would cause Khan problems because of those factors and would certainly test that glass chin.
A win over Maidana would erase that Prescott loss no doubt in my mind.
Khan should fight him.
I wouldn't mind Khan ducking Maidana if he faces someone like Holt, Bradley, Paulie, etc.Comment

I say make the fight. Maidana beat-up ortiz and deserves the shot. If Khan wants to be the best he should fight the best. Maidana is young and upcoming with a real power. Khan maybe afraid that one lucky punch might end up the way he lost against Prescot. Khan doesn't need to fight guys on the downhill like Hatton and Marquez unless all he wants is the money.Comment

I'm on your side in most of what you've written but not the above. Khan outclassed Kotelnik, who narrowly beat Maidana. I know styles make fights, and that Kotelnik's style was made for Khan, whereas Maidana is a real test for Khan's chin, but still, you can't say that Maidana's résumé is better than Khan's, that just ridiculous. Especially when Maidana fought someone with a 22-5-1 record in his last fight, and in Argentina, when HBO were offering him a good money fight in the States against the likes of Campbell, which he turned down. You can't defend Maidana after that, it's just pathetic. Salita >>> Gonzalez.Comment
