Think everyone is missing the point here, he is being made to fight 2 mandatory fights in a row. Im sure if he was allowed to make a voluntary defense next, i.e. marquez, diaz-mal winner, or whoever (much bigger fights, by name and purse) then he will fight maidana the fight after.

He should DEFINITELY take that fight. Or at least try to have it pushed back. Vacating to avoid the contest is weak. It's a shame too, cuz I like Khan, but I won't like him for long if he does not have a DAMNED good reason for this.

He should go in there and blast Madaina out in the first rd too, then on with his career. I don't think he can do it but if they fight, Khan steam rolls to a wide ud victory or stoppage.

It doesn't make sense that the WBA would have Khan fight two mandatories in a row?

Nah, you're right. This Froch guy is only the undefeated reigning WBC super middleweight champ who is at this very moment involved in one of the most exciting events to happen in boxing for the past few decades; he is a nobody!

How about you try to look at something objectively eh?

Maidana isn't even that good, all he's got is a big wide punch. Khan could avoid that for 12 rounds easilly and beat him to a comfortable decision.

he had quite a few casual fans but even they turned their back after his disgraceful fight with dirrell
good too see a few fans still care about him though

So I presume you would condemn him if he ducks Madaina?
