Well George, go back and watch this fight again. It just doesn't look right to me. Marquez is better than what we saw of him that night. Something seems "fishy." JAT

Knowing that Marquez is a good fighter, it seemed as though he really did not put out too much effort in this fight. Did any of you notice this? For some odd reason, I'm led to believe that Marquez was "paid-off" by Golden Boy Promos. to take a "dive" if you will in order to give the Pretty Boy a highly acclaimed comback victory. Only Golden Boy Promos. and Mayweather Productions would know the truth behind this and if it is true, I would say this has to be the biggest fraud scam in boxing history. Now for all of you out there, this is just a gut feeling and not intended to cause unnecessary flame wars. What do you think?

        No, just no.

The fight was being **** on by most the fans and media anyway saying the fight was a mismatch. Nobody was paid off, Floyd was just the better man period. I honestly think you are saying this because Manny struggle with him and knowing you, you probably predicted JMM to beat Floyd in one-sided fashion.

Anyway, you asked what I think... and I think your wrong, I doubt he was paid off.

Please don't discredit JMM, he tried his best to win and showed a lot of balls getting off the canvas.

Sure I felt a little duped, but that's because I paid a lot for a boring fight not because JMM wasn't really in it to win it

was a mismatch to begin with and floyd didn't make the agreed weight. and i could bet my house on floyd winning so there was no excitement nor losing sleep about it. didn't buy the PPV, watch it on the net and fell asleep

i don't think it was staged though as the TS is suggesting, just a rip off match if you happen to buy into it

JMM wanted to win the fight and get a 3rd fight with Manny way too much to accept a bribe. Stop trying to discredit the win even further, at the end of the day JMM wasn't at a comfortable weight class and the win wasn't that much legacy enhancing or career defining, it was just a pretty good name to have on your resume, especially after taking two years off.

It was just a descent win, nothing more and nothing less so lets just leave it at that.

                  Orrrrr...

                  Mayweather is just that good.

You might have to come to terms with that, there, sweetie.

                  eventually

Marquez is all about Legacy. I'm not saying money wasn't a concern of his because it is for every fighter.

Marquez wanted to beat Mayweather and thought he could.

Unforenately, Mayweather was bigger, stronger, faster and simply..................better.

Let's just say Floyd had much respect for Juan that night and when Juan got a little overconfident, Floyd had to chin check him to show him who's boss.
