hearns- trinidad at 147-160 would be a slaughter, it would'nt matter what weight they fought at. tommy was a masterful boxer with super fast jab and tito has lots of trouble with them. remember, hopkins most effective punches on tito was his jab and straight right. go figure . i wonder how much damage tommy hearns could do to tito with nothing but a jab and straight right

that being true, duran gave hagler all he could handle in a 15 round war, and was up on 2 scorecards after 13 rounds, i think that makes hearns kayo of duran that much more impressive

        From what I heard

I heard Leonard only gave Duran 3 weeks notice but offered a sum of money so big that Duran couldn't say no...and that Leonard had planned this so Duran couldn't get in peak shape...
Don't know if it's true or not but i wouldnt doubt it

he wait for hagler to get old and shot etc.

Those wars with Hearns and Mugabi took a lot out of him

Hearns may have been the 4th best of those 4 or 5...but when you stack him up with any 147-154 pounder in history, prime for prime, I'd favor Hearns almost every time with the exception of Ray Robinson and a few others of course. Even so, Hearns would have as good a chance as any to beat SRR at 147. If he and Leonard were to fight 10 times I'd favor Hearns to win 6 of them...especially in a 12 round bout.

It's also funny how the old Hagler is the measuring stick of the 4 fighters.

Hearns could have boxed Hagler to a decision and people would have a different view of him.

that's why i dont like leonard

he just tricked everyone into big fights except Hearns

he is a good boxer, but he just made his record look real nice by doin this stuff

Here's how I rank them based on my preferences, not facts or records.

                    1. Thomas Hearns
                    2. Marvin Hagler
                    3. Ray Leonard
                    4. Roberto Durán
