Hearns would knock out DeLaHoya, Vargas, Quartey, Hopkins, and any of our middleweights today in less than 6 rounds each IMO...

I love Thomas Hearns, and know not cuz of his race, hairstyle, last name etc. or because his "puerto rican" (like u PR nuthuggers even though Hearns aint puerto rican hahaha, just sayin)

Hearns is a bigger legend the SRL

I don't even know why people are comparing Trinidad to Hearns, they were not even close to similar, Hearns would D-E-S-T-R-O-Y Trinidad...

he would kayo trinidad with one straight right

no way tommy takes out prime hopkins in less than 6. i dont think he could finish hopkins at all. both of them are excellent boxers and very crafty, hopkins granite chin would keep him in with the hearns right hand. i think it would come down to a close decision, it could go either way.

palmer park maryland's golden boy will always be ahead of hearns in legendary status, because its true!

Hearns was a monster, plain and simple. Anyone who could stop SRL from coming in, and control him like Hearns did, has to be recognized as a phenominal fighter. I myself am a Ray Leonard fan, but I have a great appreciation for what Hearns was, he was a very special fighter in his prime. The fact that Leonard and Hearns aren't mentioned as much anymore is an insult to boxing, as both have huge places in boxing history IMO. Just my two cents.

Hearns was great but i understand why Leonard gets more respect. He was more personalable with fans and played the media. Also, Ray had more glamour fights and achieved. Hagler fought Hearns and won, Ray fought Hagler and won....make sense!

Hearn's chin was his downfall. Plus not coming up big in big fights hurts the legacy.

the only thing bad about hearns career was his chin.

True, the chin was always shaky, from 147 up to 175 he could never take a good punch, i think his long skinny neck had a little to do with that.... Hearns will always go down as the 4th best fighter of the Fab 4 in the 80's, even though his KO of Duran was brutal, Roberto had more career accomplishments versus better fighters compared to the Hitman

Thomas Hearns is one of the greatest boxers of all time, plain and simple. His style was very interesting since he had superb skill and tremendous power to go with it. He ranks as one of my favorite boxers ever.

Trinidad's style is not similar to Hearns' at all. The power factor is even in my opinion, but it depends because the weight class we are talking about is important. In terms of skill, I give the edge to Hearns but I give Trinidad the killer finisher edge because he is a two handed puncher unlike Thomas.

ive heard it called the fabulous 5 as well, cause benitez was in that picture as well but he was not as great as the other four for sure. the ko of duran will always be impressive but duran at 160? the man was only 5'7 and everyone knows his best was the lightweight days, so your lookin at basicly a 30lb difference from his very best
