Manny was 34-2 across Asia (those 2 losses were by knock out) before he STEPPED foot on US soil

^^his record was heavily padded in Asia man

how are we measuring who is greater here?

Hmm.. this is a good statement.

If he beats Pac he is undefeated fighter in 5 divisions-6titles and all his belts are the three major sanctioning bodies WBC, WBA, and IBF. I dont think he lost to JLC in both of their fights. If you go by that standard than Pac has 4 divisions instead of 7, if you add the WBO than pac has 5.

I am not taking away from pac, but PBF beat Hatton before Pac did and TRUE boxing fans know the first lost is bigger than the next lost. He beat DLH at 154 which is more dynamic than an older DLH at 145. Pac beat Barreras who had really lost 2 of his 3 fights with Morales, and was destroyed Junior Jones twice. Morales had recently lost to Zaheem before his 2nd fight loss to Pac.
I consider PBF win over Corrales more spectacular at 130. He beat good fighters in Sosa, Ndou, and Manfredy when they were still names. He never has been knocked out and his official KD was him touching the canvas with his glove due to an injured hand. People laugh at Baldomir but he is like a rock and hadnt lost in years and weighed like 165 during the fight. Baldomir is more durable than Cotto as far as chin. Forrest hit Baldomir with the kitchen sink and couldnt KO him.

Currently, i have Pac a little higher than PBF, but if PBF beats Pac i can't see how he is still lower than him? In addition, it depends how the fight goes if it is lopsided UD or if its a close SD. IF PBF barely wins they are in the same class, but if its one sided W for PBF than he is the best fighter of his era.
That pretty much says it all.

dude, experts talk about pac being the ali , armstong of this generation....you'd never hear the same things on floyd ...atleast not from the experts........he needs to do lot to be in manny's shoes....

          i dunno man...

MP faced the 3 best fighters in the 126-130 a total of 7 ****in times... with him being victorious 5 times... in what could be referred to as a golden era in those weight classes...

can u imagine PBF having a series with marg, cotto, mosley or williams?

like MP did with barrera, JMM & erik morales?

then u have the 7 titles...

then those smashing victories against guys who are naturally bigger...

then the 3 fighter of the year awards...

i really dont know... maybe he can if he beats MP, mosley then williams...

          who knows...

Again, that's subjective opinion and I don't see it that way. If Mayweather wins convincingly he ranks higher in my book. And I don't think I'm alone. Especially if Pacquiao is the unbeatable monster who many people believe will beat Mayweather. If Mayweather wins big there is no way Pacquiao ranks higher in my opinion. Mayweather will be right back where he was after the Diego Corrales fight if it plays out with a dominating Mayweather win.

beating gatti and coralles is enough for him to beat pacquiao in ATG list..and toyin with a guy who many reckon beat pacquiao twice shows u how good he really is..and lets not forget he served hatton to pacquiao, before the loss hatton was a machine.

The onus is on PBF to do more because he didn't do all he could do as a WW. Even if he does beat Pac and Mosley, he's still under fire for not facing Cotto and Margarito before. They are gone now. If he won a 2nd title at JMW, no matter who it was, I believe it would make up for that. Every fighter who beats his opponent doesn't necessarily stamp himself as being the better fighter, overall career wise and sometimes even skill wise.

Im getting sick and tired of this PBF beat Hatton before Pac talk. PBF beat Hatton at 147, and he wasnt a machine at 147. Luis collazo nearly beat him, and because Collazo hasnt gone on to do anything special since i wont give PBF any credit.
Bottom line like for like without making excuses who was past their primes. Pac beat Hatton and DLH much more convincinly than PBF. PBF had the chance to do something special against JMM but didnt. He could at least have knocked JMM donw 3 times like Pac did. But he couldnt.

Stop making excuses. Pac has beaten better fighters with bigger names and he beat the people PBF beat more spectaculary bar JMM. Because JMM moved up 2 divisions though, so i excuse Pac on that one.

Rubbish mate,as soon as JMM got ****y floyd rocked him to the floor..floyd needed the fight to go to the distance for his own good, remember he was out of the ring for about 2 years, and stop with the weight ****,ricky looked healthy against floyd when he fought manny he looked like a tooth pick the same goes for oscar de la hoya.

Floyd beat the hatton who beat kostya tszyu, after the loss he wasn't the same fighter period!!
