The thing about Khan we seem to be forgetting...

Agree.
Ariza and Roach have made a massive difference. The training will be punishing, similar to Pacquiao's.
My views on Khan have been up and down since day one. I started off seeing potential, then doubted him, then saw more potential, then doubted again... since he was KO'd he seems to have changed dramatically though, so that loss to Prescott was probably a blessing in disguise.

What I love about him is his pure dedication to his craft. Listen to Roach and Ariza and how they talk about how dedicated and studious he is. I've always thought British sportsmen have an inherent complacency, hence the under-achievement in so many sports, but Khan is the exact opposite. He has a ferocious appetite to improve and be the best he can be.Comment

Yet people almost seem to take pleasure in misinterpreting all those positive qualities as ****iness, arrogance and being "up his own arse".What I love about him is his pure dedication to his craft. Boxing is really on the up with all these dedicated and hungry young guys from across the world, yet everyone always wants to bring them down with such vitriolic negativity.Comment

couldnt have put it better myself , khan's work ethic is amazing and its great how he kept beleiving in himself after most people wrote him off after the prescott defeat , he's constantly growing and learning and roach will continue to add dimensions to his game that he couldnt have dreamt about had prescott not beat himWhat I love about him is his pure dedication to his craft. I rate khan on what he is right now, not what he might be in 5 years time.
Right now he's a paper champ with a weakish resume with good bordering on great skills but with weaknesses that can be exploited.
Age has nothing to do with his place in boxing NOW and shouldn't either.
Now if want to talk about potential, sure fine i'll discuss age and improvements he can make but don't spin me a yarn about him being better than he really is based on his age, his age won't stop him getting sat on his arse if you put him in over his head.Comment

i'm a naz fan so i should know a thing or two about ****iness and amirs is lightyears out of that league! i never understood how a hungry young fighter claiming that he wants to fight so and so and achieve this and that could have his statements misconstrued so badly.Yet people almost seem to take pleasure in misinterpreting all those positive qualities as ****iness, arrogance and being "up his own arse".
