I don't like his punching style, I don't like the fact that people think the Roy fight is a good win for him when Glen Johnson and Antonio Tarver KO'd Roy when he was still relevant.

    Other than that, he's cool.

i dont hate calzaghe or any other fighter. i do dislike him though, bcuz hes overrated. hes the type of fighter thats hurting boxing, cherry picks overrated hypejobs like lacy and kessler and washed up old men like roy jones. his resume is painfully weak yet people act like hes an atg. he was a very talented fighter but never truly tested himself. not giving hopkins a rematch after a very close, very controversial SD hurts the sport aswell.

i hear guys saying hes the greatest southpaw of all time, hes not even the greatest southpaw of his time.. casamayor, pacquiao, winky.. hes on the same level as tarver, very good but not great. not in amongst the best in his time and certainly not in the history of the sport.
americans generally don't like european fighters.

        period.

Why do people on this forum hate Calzaghe so much? He never insulted his opponents, never cheated and seems a cool guy. Yet everyday there is at least 4 hate threads about him, why is that?
I dont get it myself. What supises me more is that the same people who hate Calzaghe some of them love Paul Williams and they are both high workrate type fighters.

I should of included that option in the poll.

look, im well aware lots of people get overexcited and start saying diffrent fighter are great before they proved themselfs. however im not one of them, i never was and i never will be.

the whole "lacy was the next tyson" thing is just ignorant. ortiz was the next DLH, that doesnt make maidana an atg. in reality you have to prove yourself, something kessler and lacy never did.

lacys best wins are syd vanderpool and a washed up robin reid. kesslers best wins are mundine, beyer and andrade. neighter one has beat a world class oponent, hense they cant be considered a world class fighter. every time lacy stepped up he got schooled. calzaghe, taylor, hell even a washed up roy jones.. kesslers career is going the same way.

nobody deserves much credit for eighter one. they are both ordinary fighters.

                He has a TERRIBLE resume...............

And claims greatness for beating a 43 year old Hopkins and a 40 year old Jones.........

                A pure disgrace..........

He also retired when the 168 Pound division hit its peak.........

                He also ducked Dawson......

Not to mention that there was:

                King AA
                Froch
                Dirrell
                Ward
                Taylor
                Miranda

And he retires fighting to OLD ASS fighters.

CALZAGHE IS A DISGRACE TO BOXING.

He should of fought Dawson before he retired, that would off been a good fight. As for the other fighters you listed, Calzaghe had been struggling to make smw for a while, so I doubt if he would of been able to fight any of those guys, unless they moved up.
