Martinez should be 2-0, not 0-1-1, in his last 2 fights

close fight, but sergio won the fight. it was not close enough imo to give it to either man. sergio took it. williams got beat up pretty well, and lost.

I disagree with most, I thought Williams beat him clearly in a close fight. Martinez landed the harder cleaner shots but they weren't hard or effective enought to ignore Williams outworked him. Close fight and a good one too.

he should have AT LEAST 2 wins, but 1-1 is realistic. The Williams fight could have gone either way, but that doesn't change the fact that something was DEFINITELY out of wack.

I think so too because of the style match up. He has a better chance than PWill because PWill is there to hit and can only fight 1 way playing into the power punchers game plan. On another note I highly doubt Martinez could win nearly every round against Winky if he could win at all.......fascinating how styles work in boxing.

Winky's style was tailor made for Williams. It is interesting.

Yeah, it made PWill look great didn't it? he get about 400 more punches off against Winky than Martinez over 12 if I remember right. interesting how just moving away from your opponent can severely effect his gameplan.

Williams isn't the same fighter when you don't stand in front of him.

His two crowning achievements (Winky and Margarito) were guys who ALWAYS stand right in front of you.

His one OFFICIAL loss came from a guy who moved, countered, and used angles.

The Williams puzzle is a quite simple one, it just takes athleticism and the right guy to pull it off. Martinez did, IMO.

The judge who scored 119-110 should be shot however. Also, I agree Martinez was robbed blind (twice) in the Cintron fight.
he should haved gotten the decision against paul williams but hbo is hoping and praying that the punisher lives up to the hype he is a very good fighter but he aint great yet who has he beaten clearly ? besides margarito ? nobody

He is beatable for a fighter with speed, athletic ability, and endurance......or power that PWill can't handle.

The only fight Martinez was robbed in, was the Cintron fight.
