Martinez should be 2-0, not 0-1-1, in his last 2 fights

First he was screwed against Kermit Cintron. Not only did he KO Cintron, but he beat him on points as well, but somehow was left with a draw. Then he fights Paul Williams, and consistently lands the cleaner, harder shots, and hurts Williams on a few occasions. Paul's face is busted up and somehow he won every round but one, according to one judge. It was close though, I will admit.

So Sergio Martinez hasn't OFFICIALLY won since he beat Alex Bunema last October. But in reality he should have two wins against top fighters and has a legitimate case to be ranked in the top 10 P4P. If Paul Williams is top ten, Sergio Martinez sure as hell is too.

    He should indeed be 2-0...

Sad when an elite boxer is the victim of incompetent/crooked officiating, worse when it happens to him twice.

No way can you say Martinez was robbed in the Williams fight. It was very, very close and the scores of 114-114, 115-113 showed that to be the case.

The judge who scored 119-110 should be shot however. Also, I agree Martinez was robbed blind (twice) in the Cintron fight.

Please many of the press rows scored it for Williams. He should be 1-1-0. A win against Cintron and a loss against Williams

The Cintron fight was a blatant robbery.

I'm okay with Williams winning a close fight. I'm not okay with the judge who scored it 119-110. Complete disgrace. He should be investigated.

The other guy I feel bad for right now is Ali Funeka.

Dans you're one of my favorite posters but I have to disagree. I had it 7-5 for Williams but had Martinez won I wouldn't have had an issue with it because it was a close fight like you said (the judge who gave Martinez one round should be shot). I agree with the Cintron fight though. I want to see a rematch of Pwill and Serg but in my eyes Williams won.

I said it was a close fight, but I felt Martinez clearly won. Again I'm okay with that decision, but not the scorecards.

I had Martinez winning that fight 116-112.

Martinez landed the cleaner, more effective shots and only landed slightly less than Paul "The Windwill" Williams. And considering a lot of Williams punches had little power on them, I thought Sergio clearly won.

I just want to make anther point. Martinez is another fighter that I was high on and told all of you that he was the real deal. Most of you so called fans and internet experts told me I don't understand boxing. I should make a list of all the times I've proved everyone wrong on this site.

I think a draw in the Williams fight would've been perfect in this case. Normally I don't like to see a draw but it would've been nice in this situation. No matter what, someone was going to be pissed about this decision.

It's just my opinion that Martinez clearly won. I can see how others saw it slightly different but that 119-110 scorecard is an outrage.

Martinez is the truth. I've been watching him for a few years now and his style and skills give people huge problems. The other thing is, he can punch. Just ask Paul.
