Martinez vs. Paul Williams II on the undercard to Mayweather vs. Pacquiao. How great would that be?!
I think it should get it's own build up. It deserves that. Great fight.
Another thing: Why are people posting about how their favorite house fighter (Floyd or Pac) would destroy or lose to Paul? What does that have to do with anything.
I'm not gonna keep harping on this (trying not to) but people who say Castillo beat Mayweather but now are screaming that Paul lost this fight make me laugh.
There are other people who are screaming robbery but use different scoring criteria whenever it is convenient (when I say scoring criteria I mean general impression of the fights as it is obvious these people are not scoring anything)
[QUOTE=Lead Cenobite;6887220]Knee jerk reactions? Check.
Not knowing how to score fights? Check.
No concept of the basic rules of scoring fights? Check.
Calling close fights robberies? Check.
Rampant nationalism and bias coming out? Check.
Closet racists chest thumping the loudest? Check.
Not posting a score card because you didn't even attempt to score the fight
but loudly screaming ROBBERY? Check.
I find it funny that guys are screaming robbery on here that normally score for AGGRESSION (ineffective or otherwise) or at least claim they do since they never score **** but HERE because of nationalism, racism or just general fighter bias are now yelling Robbery.
Yep. That's why I'm not going to post too much right now. I'll wait until this topic dies down a bit. You can't intelligently discuss this fight with those idiots.
Calling a fight a draw cuz he wants to sound intelligent and doesn't wanna get bashed from either side? Check
What was your score card moron?
Like I said I'm not calling it a "draw". That was my initial score card. I had it very similar to Lederman going into the final rounds, I just didn't see Paul pulling out BOTH rounds.
What do you score for? Let's compare score cards.
Go back to crying about robberies idiot.
Again I'm fine with either guy winning. I'm NOT fine with 119 scores.
I have a REASON (several reasons) why I'm not fine with this. I'm also of two minds of the fight: That Martinez was countering really well but would stop for several rounds and take time off for whatever reason. Paul was using aggression but it was not always EFFECTIVE. In a fight like this a lot of close shots are missed and need to be rewatched sometimes to see if they connect.
In any case, Paul look my hurt on the outside but kept coming. Martinez looked fresh on his stool mostly but his legs seemed gone near the end.
Yeah because a draw is completely out of the question..
See, this ****ing idiot doesn't want to do this with me. Because i'll pull out my score round by round and explain it in detail.
I highly suspect he doesn't have one.
He won't even be able to answer the question of what the scoring criteria are and what judges are looking for.
He has no experience.
It was very easily a draw. Not because I said so but because I added my rounds up and they came out even. If Harold hadn't explained that first round I half the idiots would score it 9-8 or 9-7 or something insane like that.
