Do you know it wasn't plaster? Please, I hope Marg never gets a fight again, no one in their right mind will give this cheating bum a chance to fight. He tried to cheat and he got caught, now he deserves nothing, if he wants to make money, let him go and find another profession. He is a disgrace to the sport.

Cotto is mentally broken. While I think he is a good boxer - he is no Trinidad.

Trinidad would NEVER stop coming - I mean look at the fight against Hopkins. He NEVER stopped coming until he was brutally KOed.

Now Cotto was forced into submission against a whippet hound in Pacquaio I really think it's time to call it a day after a few more. A 'tune-up/come back' fight then one more big match at 154 and then retirement - a possible 3 weight title holder.

I agree but he is also damaged physically. Just look at the end of the 9th round vs pac and he shakes his head and a BIG ASS blood clot comes flying out his nose. If you can't breathe properly you lose stamina and therefore power.

The same logic applies, cotto is damaged goods as many experts have said and I refused to believe it until manny destroyed him. I am sure you are one of those who would like to see margarita vs cotto because you know it would be an easy win for margarita.

why don't those who want margarita back in action demand that he avenges his loss to SSM? why are his supporters so afraid if the reason why he lost against shane was because he claims he was weight drained and did not train properly? It makes no sense for margarito to want to fight cotto only if it for the great pay day it would generate.

margarita did end cotto's career by damaging him in their first encounter. how does a boxer end up bleeding through their ears if the damage is not deep? It has to be deep damage for blood to come out of a fighters ears.

who says margarito will get a big payday? i'm sure he'd be willing to take a big monetary hit in order to prove that his 1st fight with cotto was no fluke..or after all he can come back to LA and everyone knows can sell out again vs a joe shmo'.. it's not a secret.. if he was cheating like a lot of people call it with resto/collins.. then he'd be doing time.. i think that the CA state commission put their foot in their mouth too soon.. and had no choice but to upheld the suspencion to avoid looking dumb..i wish they would of done what the NY state commission did when trinidad got caught, and looked the other way!!but tony will get reinstated.. he will either 1 of 2.. come back to the top, or fade like a fart in the wind.. but i will tell you this.. he fights anywhere theres a deceant hispanic comunity, he sells.. his fanbase exploded thanks to the cotto win no doubt.. but only people not wanting this fight are the people that know cotto is done.. lost to margarito and their excuse was "margarito belongs at middleweight.. fight your own size, blah blah blah" but now that he got stopped vs pacman.. no excuses? i mean pac was a lightweight not long ago.. if cotto wants to make money and do his job, for his fans.. erase the doubts that everyone has.. and redeem himself..

Cotto already did his job for his fans, he fought the best out there and he has nothing to proof. You state on your post that "Cotto is done", has it ever occured to you that the reason why he is done is because he might have been fighting a man with plaster on his gloves? Cotto's father claims that after the Marg fight, Cotto had blood coming out of his ears and eyes. As you can see, I underlined claim b/c we do not know that to be a fact, but if it is true, I do not think that Marg without cheating could cause that much damage. I am a Cotto fan, and I love to watch his fights, b/c he fought the best, and while many do not consider him an ATG, I felt my money was well spent. If he does not rematch Marg, I will not hold it against him, if anything, I respect him for making a statement that cheaters do not belong in the ring. Before the cheating scandal, I was a Marg fan, I actually gave him respect for beating Cotto. I gave this guy credit for coming from nowhere and making a statement. After the cheating scandal, I have no respect for him or people who support him. He is a scum bag that probably cheated his way to the top and I hope he never gets another dime from the sport.

On the other hand, why is he so eager to fight Cotto again? He should fight SSM, he was the one who whooped his ass. Why are you guys not calling a rematch with SSM since his supporters claim that he was not 100 percent?
