If you have posted on Boxingscene before then you would notice the trend of ONLY Mexicans defending that scum of the earth cheater(regardless of whether he cheated against Cotto or not).
Lets say for arguements sake "Cotto is scared and dont believe he can be Cheato"...who cares. Its still not worth giving him a shot and putting Cheato on the map again.

I would give Cotto a little bit of a pass for not fighting Margarito if he had the balls to fight the Berto-Mosley winner. But he doesn't. I'll be rooting hard for Castillo to come up with a miracle and beat Cotto.

you might not know this but margarito has said he wants to rematch mosley aswell as cotto after the loaded gloves fiasco do you actualy think he will pass on any oportunity to figth a big name? i dont

Cotto was one of my favorite boxers and not just because I'm Puerto Rican. I think hes a good fighter, but not great and I agree with alot of you that he has one of the best resumes out there for the WWs. But after the Pac fight, I have come to the realization that he is mentally weak and I don't think a new corner will help this. I don't want to see him fight Marg again because it will be sad watching him destroyed and I believe he will be. I think it was telling how in the 24/7 they said how in one of his first fights he came back crying and eventually vowed to never let that happen again. Cotto for better or worse is still that child deep down inside and that's who he is. The years of training have added layers of psychologically defense to protect that, but with the dismissal of Evangelista, I think it has all come back. I don't know if you guys agree with me but I think its possible to feign toughness and exude strength and beat other "boxers." But some boxers like Margarito and Pacman are warriors and they can smell his fear instantly. All this is sad to say because like I said he was my favorite, but I can not lie to myself anymore. He will never be a Trinidad.

Seems odd to demean Cotto in this situation by pretending that if he decides to take a "fluff" match against someone like Castillo that it means he has no "balls", brother. Let's just say he DID fight the winner of Mosley/Berto (which btw I would MUCH rather see him do than fight Castillo or someone else), do you really think that would be a smart move for him after fighting Malignaggi, Judah, Mosley, Margarito, Clottey, and Pacquiao ALL in the past 3 years or so, as well as the 2 jobbers? I for sure would LOVE to see Cotto fight the Mosley-Berto winner but it sure does seem like alot to expect from even an elite fighter to face another elite level fighter in the very next fight after fighting a string of fights like that which eventually culminated in a megafight that Cotto lost, brother. All that said, I hope Cotto DOES fight the winner of Mosley/Berto...

Reading this post i have to say that i think we will never see the old miguel cotto that was on his grind when beating juda,mosley, ect. Ever since the Margo fight he has not been the same. It shows in the Clotty fight and Pac Man fight not taking anything from Pac or Clotty. I would think Cotto would take a year or so off get back with his uncle who had his ass winning them fights like the champ that i know he is. His cornor was not telling him the right thing to do and they shouldnt have let him take all those punches from Pac reguardless what he said of not stopping the fight. He is takin backwards step in his career and looking like he just wants to make money off off his name like Trindad did when he was fighting Winky then Roy Jones. Its very sad to hear this cause im a huge fan of cotto but it is what it is. As far for a rematch with Margo wtf for. If he didnt cheated the fight would of been diffent End of story. He was expose the night he fight Mosley and paid for it. He should of been banned for having been caught with that... He could of killed somebody with that.
