I'm glad Cotto is getting back in the ring. I just hopes he realizes he needs a new corner and forget about that bull**** of retiring at 30.

The article said Cotto listed possible opponents, but it only mentions Castillo. Who else did he say he might fight?

He should just chill for a while. He doesn't need to make a decision right now. If he fights Margarito again, he'll lose. Castillo shouldn't be fighting anymore, I have zero interest in seeing that fight.

"Its no concern of mine whether it is 145 pounds or not," Cotto said.

"That is the usual weight that we cut down to for the weigh in, and in the ring—on fight night—I will go up eight to 10 pounds, so actually during the fight I will weigh around 155," stated Cotto.
the bold is false, he looked stronger in every other ww fight than the pac fight. he was noticeably skinnier in the pac fight but yes he was in great shape so there's no excuses.

I understand Cotto needs a Michael Jennings kind of fight, but come on, who wants to watch him destroy a former great lightweight champ who's now totally washed up ?

Maybe he could fight Chavez Jr on June @ 154.

Your posts, and that dirty laundry pile you call a signature are among the dumbest things on this website. Uneducated, poorly defended, and just plain douchebagish.

Anyway, it's a shame to see Cotto in "give up" mode, being relatively young. After his decisive victory over Mosley (which, anyone with a brain could see...unlike Pullcounter), his whole franchise has been handled poorly. Bad ring strategies against Margarito and Pacquiao, especially when he was doing well against both before one bad round (the 7th and 4th, respectively). He never adjusted properly to adversity against Margarito, and should have continued to pressure Pac instead of running. He was hurting Pac, who even admits it. Despite the flash KD's, he should have kept it up, a la Judah.

His resume and the competition available still makes it possible for Cotto to go down as one of the better WW's of all time. I hope he doesn't hang 'em up for another 3-4 years.

                      Margarito has to happen!

This is the deal Cotto has not shown since the win over Mosley, that he is deserved to be an elite fighter!
It looks that he is awsome with fighter like Gomez and Jennings!
If he is talking **** that Margarito looaded the gloves, well here is the chance for you to show the world that what you are saying id the truth!!!!

Margarito will give Cotto a beating again and again withot loaded gloves..He is just too big and strong for him........How about Tony;s chin was that loaded tooooooooo?
