we all know how good JMM but Floyd sold that alone
pac only had 200k more buys fighting a much more known Cotto
Floyd was making a few million fighting has beens and gate keepers whil manny was barely making a mill fighting legit guys like JMM and morales barrera

JMM was sold as the guy that arguably beat Pac and he was well known in the Mexican communities. As PBF himself said, JMM had a whole country behind him...the second largest boxing country in fact.

Who the hell knew of Cotto outside of NY and PR? Granted he was a bit better draw than JMM in some of his previous fights (then again WW's usually draw more than featherweight/lightweights) but there's no way you can say JMM was an unknown and didn't contribute to PPV buys on a big match on a freaking Mexican holiday!! Not to mention he's the reason 24/7 became popular and hit the mainstream with his piss-drinking stint!
