If ducking means to you is attend to his businesses, his running for congress or in short securing his future then you have completely misunderstood the word ducking there.

The fight will happen maybe not in March but it will happen. Manny's just too busy right now and Roach thinks it's too early just 4 months after the Cotto bout.

@ alembic - agreed. However the fight will sell in the UK. Also it is obvious floyd really wants to go there and put on a show. He loves the British media and fans as he feels he gets more recognition from them than the press + fans in the states. He wants to show his appreciation by staging an event there. I think it is a brilliant idea, just the wrong choice of opponent. If i was schafer i would be pushing to get Mosley vs Floyd in the UK. imagine that!! 2 American fighters staging a fight in the UK. I think if its promoted correctly by Golden Boy it would be massive. They could bring Ricky Hatton promotions on board and pay Ricky a fee for promotional duties such as interviews + attending press conferences etc. With Hatton & Golden Boy promoting in tandem it would sell for sure. take it to Wmbley stadium. The British fans love a good sporting event and boxing is thriving over their with the likes of Haye, Hatton, Khan etc. Sell the **** out of it in the states and in the UK.

Or even better.....put Hatton vs Marquez on the undercard aswell as Matt Hatton vs "Insert Random Cab Driver" and Amir Khan vs whoever!!!

March 13 fight date is very crucial for Manny if he is running for congress. There is a lot of distraction and I am pretty much sure, Manny is not 100% in shape for the fight. He might be physically fit to fight but emotionally and spiritually not. Arum absolutely have no idea about philippine political campaign. It is very stressful and tiring. Manny cannot train for the fight and at the same time thingking about his campaign. It is not a good idea.

Arum has only in mind is to make money out of the deal, He has nothing to loss. He has nothing to worry about. At the end of the day, he is always the first price winner awardee. Manny should not buy this Arum's threat of March 13 or nothing. So what? Manny don't need badly a Mayweather fight. He can retire without a Mayweather fight. Those interested for the fights are the ones thingking the money that it will generate and are entitled for a slice of it. If manny is decided to run for congress, they should leave manny alone for now and wait after the congressional election. That is a fair solution as of this time.

Hey QUACK MANG ,,,,,, Never shame to lose but its a shame to QUIT like he did ! Its in the BLOOD mang, I can see it in his nephew !!!! His actions , his decisions of who he fights, he has all this talent , unbelievable talent but I believe he is lacking one thing ! Good question my ass. You don't take office right after an election. It's not like he's gonna have to review legislations right away or fill a cabinet. Hell, I don't think he would study legislation even if he's in office. He might be able to fight and represent his city at the same goddam time.

word is... the political campaigning don't start until late march. so he would have time to fight now.

Remember.. Floyd was committed to Dancing with the stars.. walking right into the Hatton fight.

So if Pac can shoot a movie and do a concert around his last fight, then he can also start his campaign after this fight on the 13th.
