ha ha actually, I never even thought about it when I was writing. I just went by the title and it stayed in my head. I assumed that the thread was about Hopkins saying that RJ got jobbed and the TS was saying "what is he smoking, RJ got KO". Even when you replied, I was like "what, I know I didnt spell it wrong". Then I thought about where they fought and I was like, oh yeah because my 1st thought was the fight was in England until I just remembered

I watched Audley Harrison v Danny williams lol makes me an idiot but dont make it a big fight.
After Roy got sparked that fight is dead,HBO wont be interested.

It has historical significance, people will tune in whether HBO, Showtime, or versus. Even if they do a PPV for 24.99, it will sell pretty decent numbers. Oh course it won't make HBO PPV but it will be watched by plenty of people.

Shame on you Hopkins. As for the people saying this was a premature stoppage, you are ridiculous. The ref stopped the fight at the right moment. It's kind of strange that none of the puches were landing: still, we could see Jones wobbling at the end of the first unanswered flurrish when the ref separated them. Jones wobbled to the ropes, Green continued to "punch gloves" and the ref stopped the fight. It was clear it was just a matter of seconds before a big punch got through or that Jones would just crumble under the fury of the attack. The biggest lesson of the day I think is that Jones can't take a punch anymore. I think I could have taken that punch Green landed. If Jones fights Hopkins, he's facing real danger, because he's going to get ko'ed for the 4th time. Jones should be stripped of his licence. I don't want to see his become another McClellan or embarrass himself like he did today. Shame on you Hopkins.

There's a difference between going from 160-175 lbs @ 41 years of age when you're on a vegetarian diet just to make weight...and going from 175 to 200+ lbs to fight 220 lb K.O artists @ 45 years of age after being a career middleweight with 5 fights at 175.

And again, I'm not argueing with you that hopkins would win, or it's a WISE decision on his part, I'm argueing that hopkins IS willing to do it, he's always been about challenging himself and the fight isn't that crazy considering both are Golden Boy and both don't have too many attractive options at the moment.

There's a GIGANTIC difference between Pavlik/Tarver and Haye lol...Haye wouldn't have to hit Hopkins flush to knock him out he'd hit him ANYWHERE on his body and have him badly hurt. A glancing blow which grazes Hopkins head will daze him. Hopkins isn't the risk maker you make him out to be, he's smart and he knows his limits doing this would be suicidal it's all talk. Haye can still get a fight with a Klitschko after Ruiz why are the Klits not an option? Because they said so? Money talks trust me the Klit vs Haye fight HAS to happen. Hopkins vs Haye is just talk it's not serious.

I don't think the klitscho's want to fight haye and to be honest I don't think haye wants to fight a klitchko at the moment. Sure money talks and OBVIOUSLY a klitschko/haye fight is the biggest fight out there, but if for whatever reasons its not going to happen any time soon, don't rule out bhop as an option.

It's not pointless when you take into consideration Hopkins is a smart match maker and knows his limits. Haye is too big for him he knows that. He's been in the business a long time, he's just talking.

Well the only time I'd even CONSIDER the notion that B-Hop is considering fighting Haye would be if he fought a tune up at Cruiserweight or Heavyweight. Until then this isn't even in the realms of possibility - imo.

Kelly Pavlik's stock also took another hit tonight. Ornelas put up a better fight than that sorry ass joke did in Atlantic City. Hopkins is 45 years old and all, but I can't defend him calling out Roy Jones after his KO loss. He probably feels like there is unfinished business there. But it is done and he needs to let it go. The fact that he is fighting on a way more competitive level than Jones is speaks for itself. The Calzaghe fans are gonna cry double standards with this as well. And as much as I can't stand Calzaghe or his fans, I don't blame them.
