Hopkins is an ex-con and boxer. If boxers & ex-cons were educated, they would most likely not be boxers and ex-cons. It is hilarious that he said Europe though!!! LOL

I don't understand why people wanted to see a Hopkins-Jones rematch in the first place though. I've never wanted to see it because I've never fallen for Roy's hype during the faded portion of his career. You guys should've been beating the drums for a Dawson-Hopkins fight all along, and you weren't. You were spouting off that garbage about Hopkins ducking Roy Jones and whatever poll came up on the forums the Hopkins-Jones rematch got the most votes. I didn't vote for it though. It was mostly Calzaghe nuthuggers who can't stand Hopkins.Comment

Thats incorrect. Most objectionable members have been calling for Hop/Dawson for a minute now.I don't understand why people wanted to see a Hopkins-Jones rematch in the first place though. I like RJJ, and my heart wanted him to win, but my brain was telling me Green would have something for him, and he did.wow he beat sheika? impressive
I dont care how many times he dropped Beyer dude lost to him and Mundine end of story.
Hes crap, just because he beats your boy you try and hype him to make Roy look better..****in pitiful.
I bet after Roy was destroyed by Johnson you called him an ATG lol
Roy was humiliated in the Calzaghe fight but damn at least Calzaghe was a someone.
You just can't accept Green isn't a bum, because it takes away from Calzaghe's legacy if he's not, I guess.
Roy did just beat Lacy, after all. Another one of Zag's big wins. Plus.. Kessler just lost in a bad way to Ward.
I wouldn't bring any of this up, but I'm trying to understand why you would call a tough SOB like Danny Green a bum.
Dude could wreck you in seconds.Comment

Right which kinda proves my point. If jones could it, so can hopkins (although Ruiz is obviously an easier task than david haye).
Hopkins at 45 is like roy jones at 35.
Nah, he had a strict diet but he definitely ate/eats meat. I can pull up an interview if you really want to hear about his diet from a few years ago...Also I thought Hopkins went on a vegetarian DIET to make weight? I know he's not a vegetarian but that's just what I heard, guess not.
Well that's your opinion. Again I'm not arguing the logic in him winning, I'm argueing whether or not hopkins has the balls to do it and if the fight is even possible. This isn't challenging himself though, this is suicide. Fighting Adamek @ Cruiser or Dawson @ LHW is challenging himself.
Don't you agree that hopkins has taken risks in his career? More so than guys like calzaghe or mayweather, etc.? Moving up two weight classes at age 40 coming off of back to back losses was a risk no matter what anyone says now. Fighting pavlik at 43 was a risk. Of course, david haye is a different type of animal, but again, point being bhop isn't affraid of risks, so I don't know why you would completely dismiss it as all talk. It's not pointless when you take into consideration Hopkins is a smart match maker and knows his limits. Haye is too big for him he knows that. He's been in the business a long time, he's just talking.
Well the plan was to fight roy jones at cruiserweight if I'm not mistaken. The idea was that jones was going to have the IBF cruiserweight title or whatever the hell Danny Green has now.Well the only time I'd even CONSIDER the notion that B-Hop is considering fighting Haye would be if he fought a tune up at Cruiserweight or Heavyweight. Until then this isn't even in the realms of possibility - imo.
We'll just have to see though. I love hopkins, been a fan forever, but I definitely don't want to come off delusional and say hopkins would beat this guy or that guy. He is 45 and all good things have to come to an end. With hopkins though it's tough tell when that will be though. I would definiately be pretty damn worried for his health against haye just for the record

Hopkins > Dawson. And nothing is gonna change my opinion about that. It would be an easy night's work. If he caught Chad Dawson with the same kind of shots that he hit Ornales with, Dawson would go to sleep with that china chin of his. That guy is probably more hittable than Chad, but he took punches that would've hurt a lot of other fighters.Comment
