For whatever reason Floyd did it, by not getting in the ring with the Mosleys & Cottos etc.. this was always the long term outcome.

Well here's a question.. Do you have Hearns, Hagler, or Benitez above Duran?

If he beats Pac no. If he beats Mosley and Margarito after beating Pac? Maybe.

True or not, he's gonna have to somehow shed the 'ducking' label in order to gain consideration.

No and here's why, people are so short-sighted nowadays and don't think long-term when it comes to their legacy.

50 years from now, fans aren't going to care about if Mayweather had a big boy mansion or at one point sold the most PPVs. They're going to look at who they fought. Pacquiao has a much better resume than Mayweather. You can explain a Pacquiao loss because styles make fights. It's going to be a lot harder to explain why Mayweather didn't fight the top welters of his era.

It depends on a lot of factors, but I would have to see the fight if Floyd fights and wins in a way that is expected probably not but if he does something different and wins big it would be up for debate, either way would not really bother me though they would be pretty close.
