he said he wanted to fight him in his own backyard. jones is the man and called the shots AS YOU SAID, why should have gone to the UK? and there was a video posted a while back with jones' explaining those fights and what was offered and why those fights didn't happen. I can't find the video but you're a regular on this site, you should have seen them several times by now.

Yeah I think it's before the Eric Lucas fight. It's on youtube. I dunno if it's still there but it was Jones answers his critics. He sits in the ring with a mic and answers questions from various boxing commentators.

Even if the brits were reluctant there was still plenty of yanks that would have looked good on his resumé: Nunn, Liles etc. I find it pathetic that the highest ranked opponent he faced was Vinny Paz....................

The only article I've seen which states anything remotely resembling an unwillingness to face Jones was where he said, if they fought, he'd want to be paid the crown ***els. Calzaghe bashers will take that as meaning he wasn't prepared to fight Jones at all. Level-headed people will see it for what it is -- a suggestion that he would require a very good payday for taking the risk, should the fight ever arise. That's never been solid evidence of absolute unwillingness to fight Jones.

No I don't. In 1993 and 1994 Eubank was an undefeated champion. Even after his loss to Collins he would still have been a much better opponent than Lucas. See?

The only thing I see is that Eubank was past his prime at the time you say that Jones "ducked him" What he did 2-3 years before that irrelevent. I'll also point out that Lucas was far more sucessful than Eubank was during the stretch folloing the Jones fight. If Jones had fought Eubank you would have quickly pointed that out with,"why did he never fight Eric Lucas?".
