  • Seriously why dont hopkin fans want this match-up?

the opponent is a damn good fighter, recognized as the king of lightheavyweight(except by the hopkin fans)

and for once i can witness hopkin beating a live body that is'nt losing or gaining 15 pounds

Totally agree, everyone knows it will be a hard fight for him. Bigger, faster hands, good workrate all trouble for Hopkins. Think of Dawson as an improved version of Jermain Taylor and look what happened there.

Hopkins fans know he will lose which is why they continually downplay Dawson.

How would you know he doesn't want it?

RJ wasn't even supposed to be his opponent in the first place, it was gonna be either Dawson or Adamek. Roy talked himself into it with people like you thinking he had a chance saying B-Hop didn't want it and was ducking RJ, etc.

Now Jones got his ass whooped today and the match is cancelled, so you're saying he doesn't want to face Dawson. Damn man, give the man 24 hours at least.

We all do and watch how easy B-Hop will make this.

I'd prefer hopkins to add to his legacy either getting another lineal title at cruiserweight against adamek or HW title against David Haye.

I have no problems with a Dawson fight other than hopkins will win a very boring decision that no one will turn up to actually watch. I don't understand why YOU guys want the fight so badly - you really want dawson to look even worse than he already does? Hopkins style will nullify his output and his craftiness will be too much for him. Then the board will go crazy about how Dawson is overrated and how he only beat Tarver & johnson who were both past their primes, just like everyone did after hopkins schooled pavlik. At least with Adamek/David Haye there is more to add to his legacy, Dawson doesn't really do much for his legacy, especially if he starts losing to mediocre guys.
