Kevin Johnson, the December 12 opponent for the WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko, has only one blemish on his record out of the 23 bouts in his professional career. Back in 2004 he had a draw with Timur Ibragimov in the 4-round fight. Now the Uzbek boxer shared his opinion with Blik newspaper on the upcoming Klitschko-Johnson showdown. [Click Here To Read More]

Vitali is going to get rid of this clown quickly. A good "keep busy" fight to stay in shape until a bigger fight comes around.Comment

Many boxing fans still don't realise what we have with VK. He has outstanding physical advantages. Allied to that, he has very high punching accuracy, as well as a very heavy punch in both hands, switching his punches at the last second. For example turning a jab into a last second hook, if the opponent is covering his face well.
To cap it all, his back foot defence seems untouchable, he only has to lean backwards to avoid a punch, and is very quick to seize the opportunity to attack, when his opponent misses, and leaves himself wide open. He only has to transfer his weight to his forward foot, and move in. His fast and agile footwork is badly underestimated by "gurus" such as.........Teddy Atlas, whom we always see demonstrating various boxing moves on TV.
To look at Teddy, and listen to him, nobody would ever believe that he was never a pro boxer, and in fact was the "veteran" of only 9 amateur bouts,
{3- 2 minute rds} many of which he lost.
Klitschko's back foot defence and moves remind me very much of Jack Johnson's. And he has the well deserved reputation of being the master defensive heavyweight boxer of all time.Comment

VALUEV
I don`t care that Valuev lost to Haye, I want to see him fighting one of the Klits!
P.S. the fight with Haye, Boytsov or Tua could be good!Comment

I'm just regretful of the fact that it took me so long to realise all that. Better late than never, though. I fully take back all the detrimental things I've said about him in the past - any real fan of boxing can come around to the truth eventually, and I'm happy to have done so.Many boxing fans still don't realise what we have with VK. So yeah, I find it incredible that all these challengers and contenders to his crown (besides Lennox and Sanders) just can't hit him cleanly - he'll stand there, almost with an air of disrespect, with his arms down at thigh-height and smack the soul out of guys with sniper-like accuracy.
That's some scary **** right there. Both brothers are the TRUTH in this division, and I'm proud to have them representing boxing as champions.Comment

Both Klits are very effective, but Vitali is absolutely unique with his style... It is amazing that the guy THAT BIG is flexible enough to avoid punches... His style is a nightmare to anybody and very few boxers in his career managed to have some successes with him. Only the guys with good hand speed (Hide, Gomez) or great punching power (Sanders, Lewis) managed to win couple of rounds fighting Vit...
It`s a pity he didn`t have right opposition to prove himself, but anyway i think he deserves to belong in, at least, top 20 HW of all times!Comment

I'm not up to scratch with the various awards and decorations which people designate to each other. How do I find out more about it??
AND........, very important........I'm going to live in Panama City, Panama at the end of January P.G. and have been trying, with no success so far, to make contact with some boxing guys there. Nobody has even replied with a "what the bloody hell are you going to do down thee...." or some other gentle query??
Has anyone any suggestions?? {and not the suggestions that would come to mind right away]Comment
